Lebanese singer May Hariri has decided to retire from her career as a singer and become a stay-at-home-mom!
This sudden decision comes after a long divorce case and the notion that her ex-husband will take full custody of their daughter, in the case of her not quitting her career!
May's only condition was that her ex would fully support her financially, now that she has no career.
This isn't the first time May sacrifices for her children; a long time ago, back in the days of her divorce from Lebanese singer Melhem Barakat, she gave up the right to a whopping half a million dollar and a house, to keep custody of her son, Melhem Jr.

I don't think she should have been put in this situation in the first place. SHE GAVE BIRTH TO HER CHILD, not the husband. HE HAS NO RIGHT TO FORCE HER TO STOP DOING WHAT SHE LOVES.

i'm happy that she picked her children over the money and the fame because clearly some OTHER female singers don't have that type of class, but i feel bad for her.

Thank God. I hope many more will follow suit, & give our ears a rest in the process. Crap singers! She shouldn't have been a singer in the first instance...obviously her connections (husbands) had initially helped to pave her dismal career. Furthermore she would not be sacrificing anything...it's called WAGIB! Why on Earth should her ex support her? It's a fathers duty to contunue spending on his children, not his ex's (Unless the ex in question happened to give up her career before or during marriage & had a hand in his success, then it's rightful that she would get a bulk of money...but not be spent on continually as though she's one of the kids). She has already made a lot of money during marriages from the very little talent she possesses & one highly doubts she will remain single for too long. Plus, you can not make a promise in any court not to work, it's not a law. I think her husband was specific in her giving up fame & all the engagements that go along with being a modern 'celebrity', not so much stopping her from work. But it would still be legal should she choose to maintain her filthy career. She would probably spend too much of any money on plastic surgery rather than the kids anyway. And since when do these people own one house? She probably gave up the current family home because she already has a home or 2 from her own earnings or from previous husbands.
Are you kidding? FATHERS have a right to their kids too! And if they see that the mother is not fit to continue raising the child, or simply that she's absent too often (& many mothers do a poor job), then the father should rightfully fight for them instead of to be burdened with guilt or just watch from afar as his kids go down the gutter! That is what's fair...not to hand over kids to the mother willy-nilly, even if she's away for considerable periods of time!

If u read about this woman in specific; she has been married and divorced 3 times now...with 1 child from each marriage. So far 2 of the kids are with their fathers & she is fighting 4 the third.

sam, first time she was married she had 13 years old! an arranged marriage, so naturally she would have devorced sooner or later and the child kept with the father coz he defenately knows she could not support him. the second time, it was a celebrity (barakat) who seduced a young beautiful divorcee putting all his weight to gain her and of course the passion faded with time and he took the child after divorce coz he knows she can't support him like he can, the third time she got married she was now famous and capable she wanted to make a family and thats why she is grabbing to this child with her teeth, sacrificing fame and money and all, now she can face the man, before she was weak and pennyless.
