I think that Myriam is not desperate as it has been mentionned above...I think That she want to prove that she is multi-talented as she is.
I am not a big fan of her I must say but she knows how to make something look not cheap unless some other arabic singers.
She just remember that her audience is middle eastern and some of teh moves she is doing are just a bit too much and the dressing code also...

hala- rihanna vocal abilities? what vocal abilities? she cant sing to save her life. she is a product of Jay-z and nothing more. her voice makes my ears bleed, and she cant dance.
she tries too hard to be all edgy, its annoying.
the only good thing about her is that she is pretty and no one can deny that.

shakira is not as good as she used to be back in her spanish only days. lets face it. she looks cheap. and she doesnt even invent her own dances, she has a choreographer.
the only good thing about Shaki is that she helps out a lot of charities and poor people.

myriam is better for sure. shes very unique compared to oher arab singers. very fresh and something different.

I dont like Rihanna very much. I liked her in the begining of her carrer, but now a days she has a strange style... But that doesnt mean she is not good in what she does as a singer. Shakira - She is well known all over the world + she sings great live and she dance wonderful. Myriam Fares is great also, but in Middle East. She has to learn very well english to be so famouse as the ones i meantioned. She is pretty, sexy, she sings well, but let's admit it, we cant compare her with Rihanna or Shakira... She is better than Rihanna, but not better than Shakira and that's for sure... Ahmed, you are the only shame for the Middle East and Arab world. How dare you to say those things about Shakira? miriam is international among all the arab countries. and she does a really good job, she isnt trashy or boring unlike rihanna who leaked nude pics of herself on the internet to get attention.

If we are speaking about her dancing, we can never compare Miriam to anyone before she finds herself a choreographer. Her steps are way tooooooooooo lost and the looks are silly. It seems she figures out her steps on the spot and in front of the camera. As for the singing, no one can deny that Miriam has no voice at all besides she can not pronounce right Arabic. Many singers in the Arab world are just like Miriam in all that I have mentioned before but at least they have charisma the thhing that Miriam lacks as well.

Those comments are totally nuts, I mean not by learning English she will achieve GOBAL STATUS like Shakira and sell over 60 million albums. Most artist who try to crossover are just failure, Shakira is one of the VERY FEW.

First of all, comparing Rihanna or Shakira to Myriam Fares is like comparing the pears, bread and chocolate. Doesn't go together! If any clip is bit more modern, and has something fresh on it, that doesn't mean its like Rihanna, Shakira, Beyonce or others... Another thing, 90% of singers nowdays DO NOT HAVE VOICE, so don't make conversations and discussions who does and who doesn't, music in 21st century is a business and then anything else. Rihanna is just a doll of Deff Jam, product to get money and publicy, while there're much better R&B stars like Amerie, Keri Hilson, etc who don't get their chance because they don't have Jay-Z behind their back. Commercial and good with sales doesn't mean good quality, dream to be commercial destroyed Mariah Carey, so today she has Pop songs with R&B background, before she used to be true R&B. Even that Leona Lewis, she has no voice, personality in it, she could sing in Factor X because she was preparing those interpretations for day, but on her songs, she sounds horrible, it is sad that one single song was selling whole her album, which after all is big trash, the new Factor X winner, Alexandra Bruke, is way better. Miriam herself, doesn't have big quality of songs, she's sweet, cute, modern and stylish, but she's not gonna be written in Arabic music history. She'll be interesting to one generation, that's it. Just like it was with many bands during 90s, Spice Girls, Shaft, Ten Sharp, En Vouge, Ace of Bace, M2M, anyone remembers them now, or knows them? No, except the people who were teenagers during 90s.

the dancing is important and nice to add to the music.. but not if there is only 2 lines in the whole song.. the song had a nice melody and tune.. but she only says two sentences through out the whole thing...

i think what she did in the clip is what a stripper does in a bar. i am really ashamed of our singers, they became a bad imitation of the american and european singers. miriam fares is a bad singer and a bad dancer. she and other singers like her should stay at home and stop singing.
