Elissa, on a TV show, recently stated that other singers getting married like Nancy Ajram & Hayfa Wehbe does not make her jealous, or tempt her to make a hasty decision she might regret in the future, mentioning that lots of men have asked her for marriage, but she didn't find the right person in them, "I believe that I will meet my other half", Elissa said. Elissa continued, "Both Nancy Ajram and Hayfa Wehbe found the guys they're in love with, therefore when I find the guy I love, I will marry him!"

About her dream guy, Elissa revealed that he should be self-made, educated, and not in the music industry, so that he does not interfere with her work. She does not mind if he's not good looking, but he should not rely on her money.

About her competitors, Elissa refused to comment, but when asked for names, she mentioned the ones who started with her, like Nancy and Shireen, and described the two of being very unique. She said she loves to listen to Nancy, because she likes the types of music she has that Elissa lacks, and likes to listen to from someone else. "Shireen has a great feeling that pulls you and you just cant not listen to her, and I also like Asala." When asked about being jealous from other artists, Elissa answered: "No I'm not. I like to see that someone else is successful, because when you're the only one successful, you wont have the motive to improve, but when there are Nancy and Shireen and others, you get worried on yourself and work harder."

Elissa excluded Amr Diab from the picture, saying that he is a huge value, and the undisputed fact is that he is the number 1 in the Arab World, because he has a large history in music. Elissa denied that she once attacked Diab, "Who am I to attack huge singers like Amr Diab or even the least famous singer on Earth? I blame it on the media, I loved songs during childhood when I used to listen to Diab, who still resembles a leading mark until now."

About her dispute with Hayfa Wehbe, Elissa also blamed the media, stressing that there are no differences with Hayfa, and that the reason of Hayfa not inviting Elissa to her wedding, is that they are just not friends. The Lebanese singer denied introducing nudity to Arabic video clips after her music video "Baddi Doub", or being responsible of opening the door to other female singers who made such quality clips, revealing that she didnt want to film it at first, but the director convinced her during the shooting. "I believe that the clip at that time was daring, but I do not regret filming it. I only regret repeating myself by doing the same in my second video "Akherta Ma3ak". The two clips faced huge criticism, but I didnt care, because I was convinced, and if I was touched by every criticism I face, I would have stopped singing long time ago", said Elissa.

On the other hand, she also revealed that some criticism could benefit the singer, noting that after a comment on her voice, she studied music and worked on herself. Elissa stated that her third album "3ayshalak" has great importance in her career, for it made her prove herself alone, and pushed her steps forward, indicating that her success before this album was connected with other people like Super Star Ragheb Aleme in the duet "Bitgheeb Bitrou7". Elissa also refused to comment on buying her awards, claiming that she is fed up of justifying and defending herself. About the rumors of her being snobbish, Elissa commented: "I'm not arrogant like they say. I'm arrogant with arrogant people, and modest with modest people."

The romantic singer revealed that she was influenced by Fairouz, Dalida, and Celine Dion, hoping to make songs that do not die, and stay for endless period of time in the Arabic art. Elissa confessed of having plastic surgeries, but stressed that she did not have a full makeover in her face's nature, revealing that she takes good care of her voice and look, especially now that the image is a very important part because of the media.

Finally, Elissa refused to say that advertisements lessen from the importance of her as a singer, noting that only a successful singer is a target for international companies, and that such advertisements offer her financial security and international fame.

Elissa's seventh album is due to be released on Eid L Ad7a, or by January 2010, according to Elissa.
