Who hasn't heard of Ahmad Al Shukairi, the young Saudi man who has been the host of a very interesting show entitled 'Khawater' for the past 5 years?
Every year, in Ramadan, Al Shukairi presents issues that concern the youth and the Arab society and tries to see them and solve them through a logical and modern religious point of view.
This year, 'Khawater 5' takes us to Japan and back!
Al Shukairi compares issues in Japan and the Arab world, which he's calling 'another planet'!
We see how organized, clean, disciplined and punctual the Japanese people are.
We see how they respect each other, respect the elderly, respect boundaries and respect their selves!
Isn't this exactly how we all should be? No matter what religion we belong to, isn't this how a good human being should be?
Aren't these the morals and conditions that make this world a better place?

hey! I watched couple of episods of this year's show. i tink the program is great very enjoyable and most important is extemely informative. he touches topics that are of mjor importance in society. and unfortunetly in arabic societies they dont respect each other, people are not polite at all and they definetly not mind their own business but again thats not the whole population,,,, but our arabic societies are in great danger and they need to be improved in one way or another and i think this what this is guy is trying to do which is great. Does anyway know when teh show cums on again in Abu Dhabi in Britain cos i ct really remember thnks:)

Ahmad is doing a superb effort in giving us an insight on life in Japan, im truly amazed about Japan, their discipline, how clean they are ...and school children so young everyday spend half an hour to clean their classrooms, ! hope this inspires more countries to follow the same thing..very engaging show!!

Ahmed's program last year and the years after was so much better than this year 2009. He is comparing us Arabs, not to europe or even the States, he is comparing us to Japan. Well, Ahmed, the US is not like Japan and the difference is obvious and clear.
To have a Saudi hosting this show is being unfair to Arabs. I am a US citizen and let me tell you that Saudis are far off judging anyone. Your labor law in Saudi Arabia is inhuman, comparing Japan to Egypt and not to other Arabian countries is unjust to Egypt, the country that taught Arabs dignity and taught them civilization and education to most of the Arab world. You should come and teach this programs to ONLY Saudis who come here with their pockets full of money not to learn, but to go out with women and to drink and have fun! Shame on you Saudis and the western world has EVERY right of treating us low and inferior.
He has alot of contradictions in his program. what are they? will name one: simply his clothes, changing from one outfit to the other like women on every episode then teaching us that prophet Mohameed (PBUH) was humble and rational in spending contradicts his shown behavior.
I used to be a big fan, but not any more.
Pls. Ahmed, stop doing your program, shame on you! stop being a hypocrite and start with your own folks first!
