We haven't heard anything new from Elissa lately, but that's about to change.
Elissa is currently working on the final touches of her new album, that will be released within the upcoming months. Hopefully it will be as good as Ayami Beek, but with a few different styles. Even though I love her romantic songs, they are becoming redundant. They are like the Amr Diab music videos, chasing a girl, singing to her, flirting with her and the dance moves we all loved to watch in Abd El Halim movies.
The new album features 14 songs, mostly Egyptian.
One song was composed by a new talent from Lebanon; Rabi3 Baroud.
She also worked with Samir Sfeir, Salim Salameh, Walid Saed, Marwan Khoury, Tamer Ali, and Nader Abdullah who was responsible for 6 of the songs on the album.
In a recent radio interview, Elissa mentioned that her album will include a song against physical abuse and it reminded her of the Rihanna & Chris Brown situation.
I guess we have something to look forward to!
There are also rumors spreading that Elissa will be singing with an international artist in her new album. But it hasn’t been confirmed yet.
On the other hand, Elissa has said that her duet with Fadl Shaker 'Juwa El Roo7' didn't get what it deserved. Fadl Shaker has disappeared and that is the reason the song was never filmed. Elissa refused to sing the duet by herself this year in Carthage festival, and who can blame her? How can you possibly sing a duet by yourself?
The song is one of the best duets I have heard this year, the lyrics capture a very romantic sense that reaches to the hearts of millions.

Elissa has the best songs! Nobody can compare with her. I like her and Amr Diab just because they don't do video clips every two months like Nancy Ajram and they don't sing 'everywhere'. Thanks

and Alain NRM, what does Elissa has to do with Mami?! Just because she had a duet with him doesnt mean that she's responsible for him aborting his girlfriend's child ! And the duet with Mami was 3 years ago, what Mami did was this year!

I 'm only wondering why none Arabic singer was inspired to denounce Mami's excrecrable behaviour...since this singer wants to denounce domestic violence...instead of taking inspiration from brown/rihana case, why not by an international arabic star?...especially because she has already worked with him...it's a matter of logic...and it definitely speaks more to arabic people...indeed she isn't responsable for what Mami did...
cases of domestic violence are not lacking in Arab countries...

Alain NRM, lol she was not inspired by the Brown/Rihanna situation, she only said that this song reminded her of their situation and talked about it. What happened with Mami isnt even known to the public, so how to singers? Very few know about that, and she was never even asked about it, so maybe she doesnt even know it! The song isnt about Rihanna/Brown, but about domestic violence in general..

I did lisent to the duet for a while but i got bored of it,, i dont know i dident think it was a such a beautiful song just good,, i personally dont really like Amr Diab i dotn have anything against him at all but i dont like his music . I think there is many other singers who are better then him Wael Kfoury absolutely adore him ,, his songs and voice are beautifull..
