Remember Egyptian actress Sabrine?
She played the role of Um Kulthoum a few years back and decided to retire after it and even wore the Hijab.
Well, Sabrine is going to return to your TV screens this Ramadan!
Sabrine Returns This Ramadan
Sabrine is going to star in a Ramadan series entitled "Al Umda Hanem" or Madam Mayor!
The series tells the story of a Umda who fights every chance that his village gets for prosperity and progress!
His wife, on the other hand, cannot see things his way and totally disagrees with him.
In the following elections, she goes down there to compete with her husband and gains the majority of votes and becomes the new Umda!
She tries her best to get the wheel turning and provide the people with facilities and other needed issues.

waleg again you got ur info wrong. sabrine did indeed wear hijab after starting as Um Kulthoum , however she did not retire. she went on to two or three more series. so she wasn't absent or retired as you say. plz before u write an article gets ur facts straight

Sabrine decided to retire after Um Kulthoum because according to what she said in different Arab magazines and TV interviews, Um Kulthoum TV Series was a great series to star in and she cannot go to a level that is under this series... However only in the past year, she stared in a new series which wasn't successful because of the controversy of wearing a wig instead of the hijab... so this new new series might be the real comeback of Sabrine who I was really a fan of during the late 80s and beginning of the 90s...

waleg i am postive after um kulthoum sabrine stared in a series about corrupiton. her husband had a bad business and she left him and didn't have kids with him. after many years of trying she finally got pregrant and he left his bad ways and became a man of honor. she was wearing contacts in that series and hijab as well. i love sabrine and i think last year series was not that bad, but it could have been better. i wish i knew the series name she was in after um kulthoum it was her first series with hijab.
