Egyptian actress Mona Zaki was bombarded with criticism over her latest movie role in the movie 'Ehki Ya Shahrazad' in which she appears in a couple of steamy scenes!
In an interview with TV show 'Sabah El Kher Ya Masr' -Good Morning Egypt-, Mona defended her role and said that the criticism came as a surprise to both her and her husband, actor Ahmad Helmi.
It's also clear that people didn't really boycott her movie, as was called on by her fans and even through Facebook, because the movie has grossed a good fat 12 Million Egyptian Pounds since opening three weeks ago!
Mona plays a talk show host who discusses the current issues of the Egyptian society on her show, especially those of Egyptian women.
