What?! A washing machine for dogs!
Yes, there is now such a machine that will make things more convenient for dog owners and even cat owners. That machine, invented by Frenchman Romain Jarry is called the Dog-O-Matic. He says that this machine is a great success in his home town, St. Max. And he hopes to introduce it in Britain next year as well.

Sure this machine means convenience for dog owners, but what about the dogs? Don’t their feelings count? According to Mr. Jarry, the animals don’t suffer once they’re inside the machine. Well, how would he know? Has he tried putting himself in their place? Based on the pictures I saw, the dog that was placed inside was plain terrified, but what could he do? Nothing. The pet dog was helpless. You can clearly see the dog because the front of the machine is clear glass. The dog was just locked inside while he was sprayed with soap and water. Just think what it’s like to be locked in an unfamiliar place, without any idea what’s going to happen next. This experience can be pretty traumatic, no doubt about it.

Washing your dog down with your own hands is another way of forging a bond between you. It’s one way of making your dog feel cared for. So, locking him inside that Dog-O-Matic is just plain cruel.

If you can’t make time to wash your own pet, don’t own one at all.
