After Rat Pack night, two weeks ago, Matt Giraud who sang 'My Funny Valentine' was given the boot, leaving the Top 4 behind for another week and Rock night!
Allison Leaves the Top 3 Behind on Idol 8
The mentor last week was Slash, who's a guitar legend!
The Top 4 gave it their all, because the one leaving next will sure miss out on a lot, especially that he or she, will leave the Top 3 behind!
Each contestant had to sing twice, once solo and once in a duet with another contestant.
I guess, you'd imagine how Adam Lambert did!
Adam went first and performed 'Whole Lotta Love' which got him praise and more praise from the judges.
Randy told him 'You're a Rock God!' and suggested he do a duet with Slash! Ya, he was THAT good!
Allison Iraheta was next on the stage and she did 'Cry Baby' which is a difficult song to choose.
She did well, but not as good as she should have. Randy didn't like her performance and Simon just didn't see any originality.
Both Kris Allen and Danny Gokey sang together, they stood there and sang 'Renegade'.
The judges complemented their performance, but Simon shouted out that 'Danny, you were better than Kris'.
Individually, though, Kris picked a Beatles song; 'Come Together' and did good but didn't really impress the judges.
As for Danny, he chose to do 'Dream On' and didn't impress much either! Although, Slash mentioned that Danny was naturally gifted.
Next Allison and Adam did a duet together and sang 'Slow Ride'.
They managed to blow the judges and the audience away! They were perfect!
As for the results show next day, it was a show full of performances. Even Paula Abdul had her chance to prance along on stage in a skimpy outfit and sing 'Here for the music'.
Other performers included No Doubt and Chris Daughtry, who did his new song 'No Surprise'.
The idol-wanna-be whose journey has ended so close to the finish line was Allison Iraheta.
Adam is AMAZING! I work for the VA and I am so proud that Adam went to Mirarmar during his visit home to sing for troops and their families. He is the next American Idol!
Adam is amazing. He chose a venue to attend that was not open to the public and sang the National Anthem in a beautiful heartfelt performance that made you proud to live in America. Not only is he the new World Idol because of his talent, his trip home showed us that he is intelligent, humble, has a keen sense of humor and is kind to old women and children. What more can America ask for? My family, friends and I will be voting until our fingers are numb this Tuesday.
I luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuv adam's voice and performances,,, he should be the next american idol and if people don;t vote for him it will be such a shame... GOOOOOOOOO ADAM
