Musician and Super Star judge, Elias Al Rahbani, revealed that the talent show Future Super Star will be returning in its 6th season this year after Ramadan.

The show was said to have been canceled and other rumors stated that Al Rahbani quit from being a jury member on the show!
It turns out all these reports were nothing more than silly rumors and the show will be back after the end of Ramadan and will reveal a bunch of Arab voices that are 'diamonds in the rough'.

i enjoy superstar more then star academy especially the voices of the candidates but i like the primes of star academy more maybe coz its fancy in a way ...& by the way im young not old ( for those u say that ppl who watch superstar are old ppl only )
i like star academy so much and in star academy they have no good voice like superstar :P superstar is just old songs and i like olds song they are more better then the new songs like haifa !! wawa lol but i like star academy more because it´s like me i´m young so i like star academy more :P

I will be waiting for Futur Super Star this year, but I don't think you could compare it with Star-Academy. It's like comparing Apples and Oranges. Star-Academy is a show, meaning the students must danse, sing, etc. The show that they put on is amazing! Super Star is only based on the voice. Both shows are amazing adn we should be proud to have these in the arab world, but you can't say one is better then the other. They are both VERY good shows!

SuperStar select real good voices but the program needs a lot of improvement in organization, rules and efficient productivity.

thankfully. i cant wait till superstar 6 starts. i hate star academy, that show is more about the drama and the fake acting "behind the scenes" when theyre taping them living in the house. and i dont understand why theyre trying to be so american...singing in english??? stick to 3arabi, we have our own culture and we dont need to be copying those corrupt people, we need to be proud to be 3arab.
besides, superstar is actually about singing...not acting.
Superstar sings more classic songs that really shows your voice and the singers are much better! Although, I think Basma from Star Academy 6 would have done fine on Superstar because he voice is amazing.
