Twitter had all the publicity that it could ever want in the past few days due to Ashton Kutcher’s race vs. CNN as to who reaches the 1 million mark of Twitter followers. And it’s not letting up yet. Oprah has joined in on the Twitter fever as well. Yup, the Queen of Talk Shows is now Tweeting as well, having signed up for an account on April 17th. Just a few hours after signing up Oprah already had about 30,000 followers. Today, Oprah has over 350,000 followers. And it looked like she's got the hang of things really fast because during her first hours on Twitter, Oprah already made six updates.

Care to take a guess what her 1st tweet was? It was this, “HI TWITTERS. THANK YOU FOR A WARM WELCOME. FEELING REALLY 21st CENTURY.” She was just getting the hang of things that time so, forgive the all capital letters. And then, during lunch she twitted, “hi jimmy order a reuben for me.” She also mentioned the health of her dog that day, “hi everyone. Sadie’s great. Gets her rabies vaccine today.”

Oprah is just getting started. If Ashton Kutcher’s the King of Twitter, maybe Oprah will be the Queen? What do you think?
