Last night, Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton, was crowned as Miss USA 2009.
This means she beat 50 other girls and will be moving along to represent USA in the prestigious Miss Universe Pageant in August.
The beauty & brains event was held at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
For Kristen, beauty runs in the family and she's the third in her household to hold a title!
Her mom was Miss North Carolina 1982 and her sister was Miss North Carolina Teen USA in 2008.
But she's also got brains! Kristen is a talented singer and dancer who completed her degree in Psychology and Spanish at East Carolina University.
Kristen now hold the title and won a year's use of a New York apartment, a public relations team, a two-year scholarship at the New York Film Academy and an undisclosed salary.
The runner-ups were Miss California USA Carrie Prejean and Miss Arizona USA Alicia-Monique Blanco.

I guess you're not allowed to be Miss USA if you're a Christian. I hope Miss California sues since she only lost due to Hilton's anti-Christian bigotry.
Dave, how is her opinion about Gay marriage has anything to do with Christianity? I know Christianity says that marriage should only happen between a man and a woman, but I also know so many Christians who are OK with gay marriage. And are you saying that all the former Miss USA were not Christian? And also how can one judge be the reason why Miss California lost the title?
