Whilst artists all over the Arab world are dying to get signed with Rotana, the biggest music company in the Middle East, Wael Kfouri has announced his decision not to renew his contract with them. You all may remember the song ‘Law Hobna Ghalta’ which was received with immense popularity after Wael performed it at the Star Academy Prime 5 last week. Well it seems that this song was in fact produced by Wael himself, and marks the end of his reign as one of Rotana’s star.
In this situation whilst some will think that Wael committed musical suicide, I think he made an extremely wise decision. Rotana was not doing Wael Kfouri and his unmatched talent any justice. If I am not mistaken there were no music videos produced for his latest album, even though it is a Rotana tradition to produce 2 video clips per album.
Will Wael continue to be a self sufficient, self producing artist? Or is there lingering in the dark, a bigger company willing to give this legend the attention he deserves?

I LOVE HIM NO MATTER WHAT hes amazing in every way shape and form and i will support him no matter what whether hes on his own or with a company hes still great with a great voice and he doesn't need rotana he is already a huge celebrity im not worried about him he'll be more than fine
Rotana is lazy and getting ridiculous. They messed it up for Dina Hayek, some of Asala's stuff, Amal Hijazy and they are probably doing it with other artists who aren't Amr Diab nor Elissa!! It's unfair to other artists when they aren't treated the same by their own record company

And now Elissa will probably leave them too, which is a good thing..but Nancy will probably sign with Rotana.
