
The Top 13 contestants of American Idol 8 have been chosen and are now ready for the final challenge!
Yesterday, three more Idol wanna-bes were picked by the audience and the judges used their 'joker card' or 'Wild Card' as they like to call it, and picked the rest of the lucky Top 13 contestants.
On Tuesday, group three performed a mixture of classics and new numbers and this is what the song list looked like:
- Arianna Afsar - "The Winner Takes It All" by ABBA
- Kendall Beard - "This One's For The Girls" by Martina McBride
- Kristen McNamara - "Give Me One Reason" by Tracy Chapman

- Lil Rounds - "Be Without You" by Mary J. Blige
- Taylor Vaifanua - "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys
- Ju'Not Joyner - "Hey There Delilah" by Plain White T's
- Scott MacIntyre - "Mandolin Rain" by Bruce Hornsby
- Nathaniel Marshall - "I'd Do Anything For Love" by Meatloaf
- Jorge Nunez - "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" by Elton John
- Von Smith - "You're All I Need To Get By" by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell
- Alex Wagner-Trugman - "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" by Elton John
The performances varied from the OK to the good to the great, and the audience voted most for: Lil Rounds from Memphis, TN, Scott MacIntyre from Scottsdale, AZ and Jorge Nuñez from Carolina, PR.
As for the lucky contestants that the judges chose, they are:
Anoop Desai from Chapel Hill, NC
Matt Giraud from Kalamazoo, MI
Jasmine Murray from Starkville, MS - She's the youngest of the lot at only 16 years old!
Megan Joy from Sandy, UT.
