The 6th season of the very successful talent show Star Academy has begun and we’re going to be on it’s tail minute by minute!
The first prime has started on a very strong note; the theater got invaded by army soldiers!
The 20 new contestants enter the stage in gas masks! Attention! The Star Ac army has arrived!
Hilda comes out next in a beautiful white gown and she lights up the stage! As usual!

After a long reportage about the past 5 seasons, the new students come out on the stage again. They seem like a nice bunch and they look like they'll grow on us!
The first song of the night is performed by the guest Shireen and the two Moroccan girls, Khawla and Basma.
The second song is a medley performed by Yahia and Michelle, Dyala and Basma and on the Oud, Abdel Aziz.
The third song of the night is performed by Khawla, Nathem and Inas.
Khawla sang Yara's song Twassa Fii
Nathem sang Ta3a La 3andi
Inas sang Elissa's Bitmoun
The fourth song of the night is performed by DJ David Vendetta and Keith Thomson and both Zaher and Mohammad B.
Then Ibrahim and Naser sing Hamaki's song Ahla Haga and Tanya sings Nawal Zoghbi's song Beainak.
Next Lara performs Rihanna’s song unfaithful and Michelle follows her and does a Wael Kfouri song.
Shireen comes out to sing again. She sings Inta Eh with fellow Egyptian, Aya.
Nora, Mohammad, Metaeb and Jaber perform a medley of songs in a simple tableau and are accompanied by guitar.
From the looks of it, those last four seems to be the weakest of the lot!
The academy has changed to the bigger this year! Those 20 students are the luckiest of the past 5 season! This is why;
Skate boarding class, roller blades class, Cinema, environment class and recycling system in the academy, a real Spa for daily massages for relaxation!
Music mixage class for those who want to learn how to become DJ's!
And last but not least, a back-stage camera! For transparency!
Keith Thompson performs again, this time around with Zaher and Naser.
Shireen performs again. This time she sings alone, a remix of her song Mush 3ayza Gherak Inta.
Then there was the usual reportage that chows how those 20 contestants received the news of their acceptance.
This year the 20 who were chosen, were picked carefully from a whopping 20.000 who applied!
The prime ends with a group song from all the students, who were also joined by a group of past Starac students like Sally, Mirhan, Asma, Nis, Saad, Bader, Rym Ghazali, Mohammad Qweider and Nader!

Ok this is a really stupid question .... since I was counting down the contestants according to their genders...Iam sure about 9 girls....Iam presuming that the genders are balanced with 10 guys and 10 girls.....So Iam assuming that either Inas or Yahia is a girl.....which one is a guy and which one is a girl ..... I know its a stupid question ..

heyyy guys. i just finished watchin the prime. well my first impressions:
the blond girl who 1st sang with Shriene is very good! im not sure about her name whether she is basma or khawla. Both girls r pretty
the guy who is called Yahya from Jordan was a contestant last year in MBC show called "Album"!!! his voice is ok.
i think that Mohamed from Syria is cool :) he has a sweet smile, and voice. i hope he is nice (and isnt like Adnan who i hated last yr)
the 2 girls from Egypt are both so different but i like them, especially Ayah who seems to have a good voice.
honestly, im not too sure about the khaliji contestants, each year, i wish that they bring some good singers but its disapointing most of the time!
it still too early to judge, but Nora from Kuwait didnt seem to be nothing special so why did she enter the show? especially as she is the first girl from kuwait!
the guys from Lebanon care too much about their looks, nazem isnt all that! one of the 2 Michiel looks like Mohanad loool
zaher from Tunis is cool with the drums and he sang better than Keith Thompson! Inas from Tunis is pretty, not sure about her voice though.

WOW! The first prime of Star Academy 6 was a great one! It is amazing to see that the Academy has a theatre to watch movies, a spa, a DJ Studio, and many new classes! The new look of the Academy and stage looked fantastic! I am happy to see that there is a bigger stage unlike last year which was much smaller.
Hilda looked stunning, as usual, and I believe Haifa Wehbe wore that same dress to one of her concerts! I am glad to see all the teachers we have grown to love in addition to a new one (sorry, I forgot his name).
As for the contestants, they have so much more talent than previous years. They started out confident and great. There are a few who need a lot of work, but for the most part they are great and I can't wait to see them improve. I agree that the guys in the Academy stand out more than the ladies.
As for Sherine, she looked great. She was a little on the heavier side but after all, she did have a baby not too long ago and I am sure it is taking a huge amount of her time right now.
All I can say at this time is thank you Roula Saad for such an amazing production and I am so happy for the launch of the best show in Lebanon and the Middle East, Star Academy 6!!!

I just watched the rerun,there were some very bad voices. Anyhow, my favorite, and the one that amazed me is that blond girl from Morocco(?),I'm not sure. She blew me away with the group song where she sang "Bits'al leih". For now , I hope that she wins (I haven't finished watching the tapes yet!)
