Even from the days of the Presidential campaign Michelle Obama has already been looked upon as a fashion icon. Now, she proves that by being Vogue’s cover star. Michelle Obama is only the second First lady of the United States to grace the cover of Vogue Magazine. The first one was Bess Truman. In the photo you’ll see her in a magenta silk sheath made by Jason Wu, you’ll remember him as the one who also designed the gown she wore at the inauguration. I’m sure you’ll agree she looks good in Vogue’s cover.
Aside from the cover, there are also eight pages in the magazine that contains her photos; photos that were taken by Annie Leibovitz… at the White House? Not a chance. The photo shoot took place at the Hay-Adams Hotel in Washington.
Vogue’s editor made a candid interview with the First Lady. They mostly talked about what’s been happening in their family since they came to the White House. Most of the interview was about the Obama children, Malia and Sasha.
Turns out, the First Lady knows how people are closely scrutinizing her wardrobe. She makes no apologies. Her statement says it best, “I’m not going to pretend I don’t care about it. But I also have to be very practical. In the end someone will always not like what you wear – people just have different tastes.”
why such a fuss about her ..I donnot think she looks beautiful..
Bibi, It's not about beauty with this lady, she's decent and carries herself well without seeming conceited!
She's a nice person and what makes her beautiful is her brain!
She's a great role model for women. She built herself a successful career by talent and working hard. She's a great mother and wife and is very down to earth and natural.
It is NOT ABOUT BEAUTY! Being intellectual, highly educated yet humble is far more impressive than being beautiful with a small brain. That is how nations advance.
I thought the first one was Hillary clinton!
