Tamer Deserves No Appreciation or Gratitude!

tamer-gaza1.jpg

Why is this Rafah border open to popstars and not to humanitarian supplies or to people who would actually like to fight alongside their Palestinian brothers? The bottom line is Tamer Hosny being there hasn't achieved anything useful...

Mr. Hosny and his colleagues deserve no appreciation or gratitude whatsoever, their posing and singing will never bring back the thousands of innocents killed or injured nor will it alleviate the hunger of these people or even guarantee them a steady stream of clean water or the security and decency that every human being deserves...

I'm afraid the writer is correct and some would think Tamer is just doing that for more publicity and others think his intentions are good. I don't like how celebrities pose for pictures when they visit hospitals or donate blood, if you want to help victims of war or any disaster don't let the cameras in.

to heba: why would the other singers/actors cross the border anyway??? ask ureself that question... the answer is that tamer crossed the border just to get attention and for ppl to think oh he is so brave.... his little trip to gaza didnt do anything to the palestinians.... and neither will any singer/actor help if they go.

If tamer hosny really did care about palestinians dying he wouldn't have held a concert on new years eve in egypt whilst the bloodshed was going on in the neighbouring country.....instead of going on his little "BRAVE" journey he would have been better off plucking his eyebrows..

There were no war, it was a killing from the sionist, pure and simple. Gaza can rebuild on freedom and dignity, which isn't the case actually with Israël putting a knife under their necks. Otherwise, you're right Hamas and Fateh have to coordinate themselves no matter where it will stand for the future, reassure that they're ready to make it work all together. But for that, Israël HAS TO change their exterior political. It's a must.

It is a nice gesture for Tamer to come and try to lift the spirits and hope of the people. For the writer to say Tamer deserves no appreciation shows he or she is a very negative person.

at least, he is the only singer that was brave enough to go there,, even if that was for fame i still admire his courage... atleast that's an honourable way of aquiring fame, unlike other singers that sue each other or compete who is going to show more skin,,,, btw, a governmantaly regulated path is open in between egpyt and palestine,, as you can see he went with the egyptian red crescent, he didn't drive their and they allowed him cuz his famouse, lol, so get ur info right

palestinegirl, I actually disagree with you, people (if the have courage) should go to palestine and prove to the israelies that we're not terrorised... i think atleast the palestinians in canada should go back and fight the israelies. they are other a million man, but it seems like they've decided to fight the occupation from canada, and just blame the arab countries for whatever happens.. where do you live palestine girl???

I feel bad for you, but it will be better soon, and you will be able to go,, but am sure that you can negotiate with the egyptian administrators, my fathers friend took aid (food and medicine) to gaza a couple of weeks ago. i think you are allowed to go from egypt to gaza, the only reason they don't want alot a gazanians coming in is that they will probably kill some egyptian officiers on their way (don't understand why the violence), and egyptians definitly don't want this.

It is obvious Tamer Hosny went to Gaza because of his good intentions and nothing else and although i am not a fan of his i still appreciate his good gesture and wonder why did not other actors follow in his steps ,and hope sick people who write here go clean their souls, and ask themselves does he need fame, he has got it more than anyone in his generation across the arab world.

    Tamer Hosny = Famous musician

He is not a soldier, politician, rescue worker or a super hero in a tight suit. All this brother can really do is use his fame to bring some focus on the tragedy in Gaza. And fortunately that is what he is doing.

But some negative people here immediately start ranting about him doing it for image, or that his actions won't matter a lot. They talk about how they would fight the zionists to death and save our brothers and sisters..... they talk....

Tamer wento Gaza with a team of doctors. He didn't go there for tourism. Tamer deserves our appreciation. He was the first arab singer to write a song abour Gaza during the war. But the writer of the article is much more concerned with haifa's legs and dresses.

Those who say its for the fame, think.. can tamer be anymore famous

Those who doubt his intentions, think... if u were in his place how would u show support to ur brothers and sisters who need it??

FAME and his name are his only tools and he is making the best out if them to show his support.. what more do u want him to do??

Likewise Writers on blogs, newspapers .. people with pens sit and write .. that's their tool that's all they can do to show their support

Us people at home...wish to do as tamer did... but all we can do is pray for a better tomorrow and stay hand in hand..thats how we show our support..

Every person contributes his support differently
so judging his intentions is wrong.. those people who say he deserves no appreciation or gratitude let me see u do better than judge.. atleast tamer did.. but u just judged

Actually it was me who posted this in another thread, and so far no one has answered my initial question.. i don't give a S$%t how famous Tamer or anyone else is the point is he hasn't achieved anything for the Palestinians only more photo opportunities for himself. Let me get this point across when i donate some cash to a charity i don't need to tell the whole world about it because that is one of the first principles of charity so why was it essential for him to pose with the helpless??? And by God if this was Wael Kfoury the singer I would literally die for then my views will not change. Also I currently live in Victoria in Australia where a devastating fire has killed over 100 people and wiped out several towns, if any of the celebrities here was to go to these areas now and pose with the victims i will guarantee you that the people and the media would not have hesitated one second to shred them to pieces, so why do we have to idolize Tamer Hosny? Yes Tamer Hosny is undoubtedly a massive star he sings great he has good looks but the sum of these facts does not make what he did right and neither does it make him better than any of those Palestinians who didnt get a whole thread dedicated to their heroics!

i dont get why ur looking at this negatively..
what more do u want him to do?
what do u exactly want him to achieve??
for sure he is not gonna bring back the dead
with the power he has hes done his best he could to show his support.....

why do people all over the net post pictures "FOR GAZA" "FOR PALESTINE" showing their support .. by posting pictures , writing articles, debating.. what have they achieved??.. do u go around telling people take down this picture, stop talking about it, stop writing articles because doing this has not achieved anything for the people out there and ur just doing this for the BENEFIT of doing so?..

but too sad the "people" with the real power.. who could actually help are all behind closed doors scared they might get their tails cut off

The point is if you want to do a good deed, no need to do it smiling in front of the cameras. Usually when you photographed campaigning for a cause, it is usually to raise awareness, however I doubt this is the case here as the plight of Gaza and its people is known worldwide; I am going to be cynical and say this no more than a publicity stunt...

And what is with the slicked back hair?!

sarah.bambina and heba, did u read my reply until the end where i specifically stated that yes Tamer is a great singer, good looking etc etc, i don't have a problem with him at all, MY PROBLEM IS THAT THE RAFAH BORDER WAS OPENED TO A POP SINGER AND NOT MEDICAL SUPPLIES OR MAN POWER TO BACK UP THE FIGHTERS THERE. Do your nimble minds get it now? would you like me to be a little bit clearer. Damn, please do not hide behind your flimsy arguments about me being a hater, God knows how much I would love to see all Arabs being happy, and again like i said i couldn't give a rats a$$ who the singer was! This is my last post about this issue obviously i am talking to a lot of brick walls today and it is becoming quite monotonous. Right until now, im beginning to think your all zombies "tamer is good, tamer is great, tamer is good tamer is great, tamer is great....." All right all already i know, i know but again i ask WHY WAS THE RAFAH BORDER OPENED TO A POP SINGER AND NOT MEDICAL SUPPLIES OR MAN POWER TO BACK UP THE FIGHTERS THERE. If you gave so much as a flying $@%t about the suffering in Gaza you would be DEMANDING your Government ANSWER this question right now. And NO tamers being there has achieved absolutely NOTHING NOTHING AND NOTHING no matter how many useless and repetitive arguments you type about gorgeous or lovely or talented he is.

[["MY PROBLEM IS THAT THE RAFAH BORDER WAS OPENED TO A POP SINGER AND NOT MEDICAL SUPPLIES OR MAN POWER TO BACK UP THE FIGHTERS THERE."]]

so ur problem/ "POINT" is not tamer at all.. its why the border was opened to him and popstars.. but ur whole "topic" revolves around tamer even the title states its and when people are going to argue, they are going to argue about:

[["The bottom line is Tamer Hosny being there hasn't achieved anything useful..."]] -mentioned above

    and not:

""WHY WAS THE RAFAH BORDER OPENED TO A POP SINGER AND NOT MEDICAL SUPPLIES OR MAN POWER TO BACK UP THE FIGHTERS THERE.""

which u may have meant from the beginning but mentioned it later on.

[["This is my last post about this issue obviously i am talking to a lot of brick walls today and it is becoming quite monotonous. Right until now, im beginning to think your all zombies "tamer is good, tamer is great, tamer is good tamer is great, tamer is great...."]]

[[Do your nimble minds get it now]]

i hope ur "nimble" mind gets my point too..

and the "brick walls" and "zombies" are all responding to the point given in the main post - some agree some do not agree to:
"The bottom line is Tamer Hosny being there hasn't achieved anything useful...""
but i don't get how does this makes them brick walls

Having ur main point being mentioned from the right beginning would have been a good thing coz i don't think anyone would disagree to why the border is being opened to some people just because they are famous , and not opened for others who are willing to go and fight
