I've been glued to my TV since the morning, watching everything that's happening in preparation for the inauguration of Barack Obama.
So, Barack Obama started his day with service at St. John's church, then he and Michelle Obama went over to The White House and had the traditional coffee with George Bush and Laura Bush.
Now, everybody has taken his/her place in Capitol Hill, the VIP's have all taken their seats on the inaugural stage.
Believe it or not, the people in Washington attending the ceremony are more than 2 million! They have come from all over The States.
This is the first time this number of people come to witness this historical event.
I have to mention that Jimmy Carter, George Bush sr. and Bill Clinton are all present.
Just a bit ago, 'Hail to The Chief' was played as George W. Bush arrived at the inauguration stage.
Now, Barack Obama is about to enter the stage and greet the millions who have come for him.
Senior pastor, Rick Warren, is currently saying the opening prayer of the ceremony.
Then, The Vice president, Joe Biden, is going to be the first to go ahead and take the oath.
But first, The Queen of soul, Aretha Franklin, will sing 'My country tis of Thee'.
Joe Biden is now officially the Vice President!
Now, and before Obama gets sworn in, Yo-yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, Anthony McGill and Gabriela Montera perform a musical composition especially for this occasion.
I have to mention that even though Obama hasn't been sworn in yet, the constitution states that at 12.00 his term begins, and thus he is now The 44th President of The United States of America.
He will be sworn in in just a few minutes.
And now after the oath, Barack H. Obama is The first African American President!
He's now going to deliver his much awaited speech.

well im watching the ceremony right now! still waiting for obama to make an oath !!! =DD
WOW what a speech, if Obama really works on what he said, the world truly will change.
GOOD LUCK MR. OBAMA, MAY GOD BE WITH YOU ON EVERY STEP.
I just have one thing to say : wait and see.
i think obama was going to be a good president until the war in gaza and then he was like its enough that one person is talking about it(bush) so then i didnt like him but i kind of still beleive that he is a good president but we will wait and see!!!
I said it once and im saying it again 'He will prove to be another Bush unfortunately'....hope im wrong!
Another Bush? No way dear! He is already ordering the closing of Guantanamo. Of course he is not going to change everything as fast as he steps into office because he is determined to play by the rules and do everything legally and democratically and not just rush or take short cuts as he predecessor... His inaugural speech was nothing but impressive, ball and full of depth... and he WROTE it HIMSELF. Could you picture Bush writting something like that??? :) :) :)
