Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakherji has been cast in the upcoming Syrian series 'Jerusalem'.
'Jerusalem' will be directed by Basel Al Khatib and will be his main project for 2009.
Other Syrian actors cast in the series are Ghassan Masoud, Asaad Fada, Amal Arafa and Qusai Khouli.
There's still an Egypt casting phase underway.
The series will be shot mainly in Syria, because of the similarity in architecture and nature with Jerusalem and some scene might be shot in both a studio in Egypt and in India!
The budget for this series hasn't been set, but it's been reported that sky's the limit!
What will the story be about?
Howa dah ily entom fal7een fe katkom nila. Why don't they just give the money 2 palestinians or sudanese even instead of buying into the whole current political situation. How have they managed to write an intelligent story in such a period of time? And if they haven't then screw them for trying to make money from such a sensitive issue & insult us the audience with less than mediocre tv viewing.
Honestly everytime they wanna influence us or give us some silly account with irrelevant actors/ directors & what not, or just buy into a situation, all that Arabs can & will do is either have a stoopid concert or make an even stoopider TV series. Enough already! They take us for right puppets.
