I dont think, i believe that religion is the main reason of all wars since a very long time .... sadly, being a Muslim or Christian Palestinian won't help because the world doesn't even see you as a human in the first place, otherwise, Israelis wont be killing innocent Palestinian people (of which +30% are kids and women) for the last 10 days without any country trying at least to stop them.
yes, Religion is the reason for having wars.God said that when wars happen know that iam coming soon.it said that in the Bible!so i believe that the wars are happening because God--Jesus Christ is coming soon!
i dont think religion is the MAIN reason, like in Palastine, in that case, its not religion because the israelites are fighting for their LANDS, we all know Palastine is the only place where we can find the three popular religions in the world, and the jews think of their place as a very holy place, and they r fghting for it. but in some other places, oo ya religion is ranked as one of the top causes. i find it so ignorant when people fight because of others different religions. let people belive in whatevr they beleive in. we r humans, we r not goning to judge or dislike others because of their differences.

No I don't think its religion I think its people especially the people who misinterpret these religions...the saying guns dont kill people..people kill people...
Both islam and christianity are religions that believe in peace and forgiveness for humanity. Religions are a guidance to our soul.
With regards to the current fighting in gaza , personally as a christian there are limits to the tolerance of killings innocent people!!!!! in this case religion is to be left out of this!!!!
In my honest opinion religion has to do with wars but also doesn't. What I mean is that at times sadley we do fall 2 wars because of religion , and that's reality and the truth and i'll give u examples...
*Lebanon had many wars that were between muslims and christians.
*in world war 2 Hitler killed so many people because of their religion being jewish
*the recent attacks in mumbai India .which brings me 2 saying the war they had back in the day that Ghandi fought for which was between muslim/hindus...
*every now and again,
there are these wars that ARE because of religion and facts won't change .
Okay... On the other hand I say there are also wars that are just because of political issues...
*the Gaza war happening right now.
*the war on Iraq from America
*the 2006 war in Lebanon
...these weren't because of religion these were because of politics.
Yet again we can't blame all wars on religion but at times religion is a conflict not only in wars but also amongst us people . It has always been an issue and will always be.
We can't do anything about it but have faith in what we believe in.
It's sad 2 see what the world is coming to...
But what do we do?
We are helpless... That's why we must put religion aside ,specialy us Arabs.
Arab leaders are useless ,if they not doing anything , what do we do ? Protest ? Like it's helping ... It's not . They don't care how much we protest .
That's why I would like to say , even though religion at times is the issue let's try and be civilized and not make it an issue now . Gaza needs our prayers wether we are muslims or christian or whatever...
What's happening in Gaza is beyond war , it's something i can't describe in words .

No, it's people who doesn't understand religions ; it's people who use religions as excuses to war. Nobody should fall for this amalgam. Religions are something personnal for each people, my believes are different from the others, and it's ok because we pray the same God but in different ways. We just need to open our mind and heart to see that we can live all together in peace.
i think religion is used by USA and Israel as a false propaganda to show to the world that we the esslamioun are terrorists, also they play with us as we were chess pieces on a chess board and we r moved wherever they want us to move.
War s are about aquiring more wealth, more power, more natural resources(water, gold,natural gas, ore,gold,silver,oil,petroleum products,nickel,coal,etc.) more land, its always about more. Religion is used AS AN EXCUSE to make more war. What was one of the first things that ancient people would do after conquering lands(for whatever reason) either enslave their peoples or convert them to their religion or kill them. Religion has been used as a tool for centuries as both good for man(hope,salvation,faith) and bad(convert or die, believe only as I do,only my religion is the CHOSEN FAITH OF GOD). Why is man so arrogant and prideful that all religions that believe in GOD cannot be acceptable to our Father. Why does Christianity have to better than Hinduism or Muslims or Jews or any others? Some horrible things have been done in the name of relions: the Cruisades, the Inquisition , and the Salem Witch Trials to name a few.
The causes of war are the same reasons children fight, -because one thinks that what the other believes in is wrong.

-because one said something that the other didnt want to hear
-because they are different.
I myself am an atheist, but i do not believe that religion causes war, people cause war over religion, there is a difference, religion causing war would be that religion had a direct influence on the war, but the people CHOSE to start the war because they didnt like the idea of anyone having different beliefs, i think everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs, and should not be hassled into changing to this religion, joining that religion. People should have a choice, uninfluenced by anyone else, on what they believe, and should be accepted for their beliefs, (which, in some cases, should be kept to themselves, im not racist, its just that some beliefs i find, unacceptable (domincance mostly), but i accept that it is their own choice)
People seem to ridicule me over the fact that I am an atheist, but why? because i am different? i dont ridicule others, i stay true to what i see as right and wrong, i do not try to hurt others, nor do I.
I don't lead any less of a good life then i would if i were religious.
