Tailless Gothic Kittens For Sale!

Gothic Kittens

Aside from dogs I also love cats. Next to dogs, cats are very affectionate creatures that deserve to be cared for. Being an animal lover, I can’t help feeling outraged and sorry for the three kittens that were put up for sale on the internet. It’s not so much as the kittens being for sale; the dreadful thing was they were treated cruelly! They were advertised as “pure black, tailless, pierced, gothic kitten.” Imagine tailless and pierced! I can’t help thinking their tails might have been removed on purpose and those painful piercings done on their delicate bodies.

One of them named Snarley Monster was described as ‘three-month old, floppy-eared, loveable kitten with a docked tail”. As can be seen in the picture posted on the internet, the poor kitten had 14-gauge piercings on both ears and a submission ring at the back of its neck! What pain this kitten must have gone through! The one who did it is deserves to be punished! As it turns out, it was a woman who had a pet grooming business that did it. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is not going to let her get away with it. The Society rescued the three kittens and one cat from a home in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania after they were tipped off of the advertisement.

What is so cruel? The piercing was not performed to intentionally cause pain or harm to the kittens. Humans adorn themselves with piercings so why should it be so hard to accept that so people would like to have their pets adorned? As a pet groomer the women was an "expert" in handling of pets and therefore assumeably did the piercings with great care. I doubt the kittens felt a thing. As there is no law against this procedure on pets (least not to my knowledge), I see no wrong. It would be a VERY hard case to prove cruelty. It would be a much simpler case to prove that the actions taken by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has damaged this lady's business and reputation. I foresee a civil lawsuit in the future!

Bob-One difference is that humans usually decide whether they want a piercing or not. I don't see where the kittens signed a consent form.

The exception is people who pierce the earns of their baby girls (or boys, I guess).

Even if the piercings were painless and done in the proper manner, Animals, unlike humans, don't realize if they bite or pull at a piercing it will cause pain. Kittens love shiney dangling items. It was pure stupidy on her part to subject a living, feeling creature to such torture. She deserves to loose her business.

These kittens all were fleaed and well feed and taken care of, i myself thou i are an animal lover, feel sorry for this women.

If you are going to charge her, they should also charge all farmers who place rings on their lambs tails here in Australia.. that is basically every farmer here!!!
(ringing lambs must be more painful than having a tail docked, one only has to look at the bleat, squirming lambs to see that).

And one then should charge all those who pierce their childrens ears under a certain age as one couldnt say it was informed consent. As they are humans im talking about.. well actually jail those.
    .......

how can people condem one for the things which are commonly going on in our society and generally accepted!

It’s no different than docking dog tails (done a few days after birth without painkillers) and cropping their ears (which is extremely painful and slow to heal), or declawing cats - imagine having your fingernails cut off.

People who think it is ok to pierce animals are as sick and twisted as the woman that did this. Did the kitten choose to be pierced? Don't think so. Comparing livestock with domestic animals....are you serious. Get a brain. Doing anything that causes any animal pain, domestic or livestock is in-humane and not necessary. HUMANS are stupid animals, yet we are running this world. Go figure....it shows. I SEE DUMB PEOPLE EVERYWHERE. Animals are precious innocent creatures...

first off docking the tails of the puppies do not hurt them and they are very quick to heal. Same as docking a lambs tail or ringing it. along with sterilizing bulls those are all common practices on farms, never have i heard of piercing an animal let alone a cat. most farm animals do have ear tags so if one would to get sick or give bad milk they would know what one it is to take care of it... that woman was cruel to the poor kitten it was senseless and assinine to do and the only reason was to try to get more money for the poor little kittens. i think she deserved to have them removed and screw her business i would not let her groom my sweet little puppies.

Look, this woman obviously would not have done this if she thought she would go to jail, i'm sure the kittens didn't mind (although 14 guage is kind of big for a kitten)
Yes, they like dangly things and I do think than belly button rings were the wrong thing to stick on their ears, maybe a little stud or something... that was a bit much.
As for docking their tails, some breeds of cats are born with stud-tails, docking them if they aren't isn't bad for them, neither does it hurt them if it's done correctly and within a certain time period. She was a groomer I bet she loved these kittens alot and was only doing this so they would sell, still.. 14 guage is abit much. (honestly I think it looks cute)

Anyone who feels or even thinks thats ok to do to GODS creatures is just sick! Even those of you who dont think its so bad or are taking there side on this. That was just sickening what they did. No respect for the animals and they should go to jail!
