Rumor has it that President-elect Barack Obama is going to be heading to an Islamic capitol during the first 100 days in Office and will deliver a major foreign policy speech.
Word on the street is that Morocco is rallying to have this speech delivered from their capitol.
What do you think? If Obama is really going to head to an Arab country for such a purpose, will it be Morocco? Or will he choose another country, say Jordan for example?

well, of course morocco should be the first stop in his visit to an arabic country. morocco was the first country to recognize The US as an independent country. there is no surprise there. i voted for him and can not wait to see his visions accoumplished. and hope the arab world to be as passion as possible and give him a chance to do the things he promise to do. as he said the change will not come over night.
i hope he succeed and hope that the arab world be supportive and they should because all the problems are related to them.

I think his first Middle Eastern vist will probably be Egypt. Since Egypt has the 'best' relation with them in the Middle East.
I don't care where he delievers it from, I just want to see what he will have to say after holding office. Hopefully he doesn't pull off, the George Bush sh!t:
"If my house was hit by a rocket, I would do anyhing to stop it".
He already pulled that off in Jerusalem earlier in the year, during his campaign.
I ask Mr. Obama: How would you feel if a person came into your home, divided it into two areas, took the better part, and tried to push you out of your own home. HOW would you feel. Would you give up or stand up and fight for your right?
i think morocco can have a good chance coz morocco is the first country in the world who recognized the independance of USA nd also the strategic zone of morocco betwin middle east nd europe good luck

Morocco is the Best choice, and the relations between Morocco and United States is " more than Best " excellent Us administration considers Morocco as an key ally in everything, you have simply to check the history, Mr. Obama know that Morocco was protecting the food sea transport to the newly us state 250 years ago, the us administration called Morocco as the most important non NATO ally, other hands It will be a straight message to the stability of the region, to maintain the balance as lately we are witnessing a strengthen of Russian presence in the region by selling new armament to north African nations or the construction of a new military Russian naval base in Libya.
Morocco stood beside Americans in many occasions, so logically Morocco deserves to be given this honor to Welcome him as the new face of US top diplomat Mr. Obama knows more than well Morocco as he visited the country several times.
How about Gaza? That would be a brilliant idea!

I don't Morocco is a good choice because it is not a democratic country. It is still an absolute monarchy where the king reigns and rules.
Morocco is also involved in an invasion and aggression as well as illegal occupation of a neighbouring country Western Sahara.
Morocco has defied the UN and the African Union and violated their resolutions which call for a free and fair referendum on self-determination for the people of Western Sahara.
Confident that Morocco will be the right choice:
- It's An Arab, muslim and african country.
- Moderate, modern, tolerante (Only muslm country with Jewish citizen in parlement and high office positon) and close aly to the US.
- Better human (ad women) right than any arab country.
- Kingdom with democratic electionand vibrant civil society.
- In additon to it's beauty and it's imperial cities(Fes, Marakech, Merne, Rabat..etc)
Hope Obama will come wih hi family to visit this beautiful country
