20th World AIDS Day

How much do you really know about AIDS?
Today marks the 20th World AIDS Day and this calls to pause and think and understand what AIDS really is and how much people it's affected throughout the world.
Did you know that 33,2 million people worldwide are living with HIV, and that 2,5 million of them are children? Want more? 1,000 children around the world are infected by HIV every day. That's no small number!
These numbers should be a wake-up call to every single person, no matter where you're living or what your background is, you should be aware of the causes and risks, because not only poor nations or homosexual individuals or drug users are at risk, but you are as well.
Some people in our part of the world; Middle East and North Africa, get offended if they're told to get tested for HIV! The test should become as common as getting a blood test for cholesterol!

People don't get infected with HIV only by sexual contact or drug use, you can get it from a needle or blood transfusions! It happens!

If you're in a new relationship, meaning you're engaged and wanting to get married, you and your partner should get tested. It's not an insult! Don't bury your head in the sand and try to act like you're immune from this disease! You never know!
A little test could save your life!

Wake Up! Pause and Think!
