on comparison europian taste is far much better than the lebanese, lebanese tend to exaggerate with details and leave the dresses "balady"

I do believe Lebanese taste or Middle Eastern taste in fashion is over-exaggerated, why do they like so much detail on one piece of clothing?... I do believe the younger generations in the Middle East are shying away from the over-exaggerated dresses with all the bling attached to them, and leaning towards simpler details. At least I hope so, some of the dresses I see worn hurt the vision and seem like they weigh a tonne (an exaggeration on my part now :P)... Especially the Jumpers...

I never really liked Elie Saab's dresses and preferred Zuhair Murad who is just as successful until lately, I loved the dresses designed by Elie worn by Marcia Cross and Evangeline Lily at the recent Emmys. No denying though, both of them are doing very well but they are not the only Lebanese out there succeeding in the international fashion industry.
It is always good news among the crap happening whether regarding economics or politics we hear about ; It would be much nicer if we see success in other areas like literature and science not just the fashion and entertainment industry , then I would be really proud as a Lebanese.

I hate this programme but I guess its a good money earner for LBC I much prefer Nagham.

Reem Acra is my favourite Lebanese designer she makes beautiful clothes. Unfortunately, Lebanese fashion is OTT but thats what most of the Middle Eastern chicks like where would they be without their gold shoes, sequins and heavy make up, give me European fashion anyday.
