You may have read my article about Janat new music video of her new song ‘Habibi Ala Neyato’ and that it would be airing on Music channels soon. Well instead Janat’s producer decided to release it exclusively on YouTube on the ‘GN4Me’ channel. And it did quite well with more than 7,000 views in only a week!
But what does this mean for Janat? Well not much other than the fact that those who don’t have access to music channels can now watch it, and if you really like Janat you can watch it over and over again! I imagine she had already sold it to all the relevant channels so there will be no financial loss.
But more importantly this may well turn into a craze with all producers putting up music videos on YouTube before you can watch them on TV! Also I must say the quality of the video was not outstanding, so maybe if they do decide to continue this they should consider better quality video!
