A Syrian actress Madiha Kneifati was launched into stardom through being a model on a couple of music videos. But after that she went up, and it looked like nobody could top her. Perhaps what helped her most were her soft but sweet looks and her uncontested ability to bring across a characters emotion to the audience. Madiha obviously does not like staying in a specific role or even a specific genre! She is always jumping for historical series to sit-coms, and she is successful in whatever she does!

And I wonder if the reason for her uncanny and speedy success was the fact that she is so versatile. She can do nearly any role in any genre and still be good at it, and we are lacking that in the Arab world. As a result not only are offers of work pouring into her lap from Syria but from Egypt and other countries as well! Perhaps other actresses should take a leaf out of her book and just submit to change!
