Whilst the Arab world is trying to keep their youth away from Turkish series like Noor, star Mays Hamdan has come out and said that she loves Turkish series! According to her they are of an outstanding quality and that the directing and acting is very amiable! If you ask me Mays is just another woman blinded by Muhannad and so cannot see the mediocrity of these shows…!
You may remember that Mays Hamdan entered the world of cinema and drama through comically imitating Arab stars on ‘cbm’, but she has been very open about denouncing the sexism of the world of comedy. She claims that comedy writers cater only to men and the role of a woman in any comic series or movie is secondary! Mays feels that those with the ability to impersonate have invaluable qualities as they hold the key to any character they wish to take over.
Do you think the world of comedy is strictly for men in the Arab world?

im sorry but noor is not a mediocre show, and we get it muhannad was hot but that is not why the show was good. Unlike what people think, muhannad was not the only reason people watched the show. So get over the fact that he was cute....what show doesn't have a cute guy.
Ok first o no she didnt just say she loved muhannad because noooooooooooo one will ever take him away from me !!!! (yea i no im arab (: haha ) ok and then june said it but lots of people watched it for both like me i loved it becuz of the show and MUHANNAD and im guessing u guys already noticed that i LOVE muhannad :) c(:
i agree w/u june. muhanad was part but not all. i watched. saw it. loved it. the story was really gr8t and the plot kept u on ur toes. u hav 2 love it. the characters were gr8t. i think people loved it because its closer 2 an arab family. and the characters had some arab characteristics which made them seem more arab. also their traditions and stuff were a lot like us (and yes im arab). but i hope they bring more ,2 because i lov turkish soap operas.
i dont find mohannad cute:S i dont know wat all the fuss is about:S i agree with june and tami:S im sure theres more to the show then mohannad.
yep. plus, sanawat al dayaa didn't have a single hot guy in it, but it still did really well.
all the characters in NOOR tv series were gr8t!. thumbs up to those people behind the camera too! e.i. Director, Writer and etc.
Hope the same people (writer/director) would bring another great saga of life which almost reel and real!!!, I'm an Asian!
