This Ramadan we saw an amazing number of series and TV shows appearing on every channel you flick to. And whilst the number of shows was amazing, the quality was not. However, Kuwait recently held a festival to celebrate ‘the best’ of these TV programs over this Holy month. Haleema Boland took the ‘Best TV Host’ award for her show ‘Yabeela’ and the actual show won the ‘Best Game Show’ award!
The winners of these awards were decided through a viewer’s poll, so seemingly bias is out of the question. But if I am being completely honest, I do not think that Haleema Boland deserves such an award. I’ve seen her show, and she is definitely a mere mediocre host.
On the other hand –and of course this is my humble opinion- the host of ‘Horrof Wa Oloof’ is more deserving! But of course I did not vote in this poll!
