There are numerous Arabs who have been forced by their jobs or the pursuit of education to leave their home countries, and whilst to many this is difficult it only takes a warm and truly Arab voice like that of Carole Samaha to make you feel at home! And this is why Carole was chosen to sing at ‘Dohoor El Shober’ in Lebanon to more than ten thousand fans. This concert has been held for several years now and each year a different musician is invited to perform but Carole holds the record for the largest audience.

The concert showed just how much of a ranged fan base Carole has, for ages were varied and even children rushed to front and sat on the stage listening to her sing. As an expatriate I think it is excellent that those Arabs living outside their nations get to still be in touch with their culture through the music of beautiful artists like Carole Samaha.
