The world lost one of it's greatest poets ... Mahmoud Darwish passed away at around 7 pm GMT yesterday after suffering complications from open heart surgery.
Through-out 48 years, his works have been translated into more than 20 languages and thus this isn't a loss for the Palestinian people only, but for all peace-loving and freedom-loving people around the world.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared three days of mourning to honor Darwish.

If you're not familiar with Darwish, you've missed out on a lot!
Check out this info about Mahmoud Darwish.
If you can get your hands on his poetry, then that's when you'll realize why he'll be missed and why his presence in the world was very much appreciated.

Rest in Peace ... you will be missed.

Rest in Peace ... we will miss you but you'll always be present in our hearts and minds.
For all you who haven't posted a comment here, shame on you! Only two comments on the death of M. Darwish! Wallah 3eib!
If something had happened to Haifa or Nancy, you'd have filled the post with comments!
Wake up! People like M. Darwish are the ones who make the world a better place, they're the ones worth contemplating about!
