Meet Summer Bishil, she's a Saudi actress unlike any other you've ever heard of!
Summer was born in California to an American mother and a father who is a Saudi citizen of Indian descent. (There's debate on whether her dad is Saudi or Indian!)
Her debut role in a Hollywood movie was in Towelhead, when she was 14, alongside Aaron Eckhart and Toni Collette.
She's also finished working on another movie entitled Crossing Over. In this one, she stars alongside Harrison Ford and Sean Penn, Ray Liotta and Ashley Judd!
So, this is a young Saudi girl who followed her dream and that's why she's come under heavy criticism!

Just met this actress last night at the Landmark and she's wonderful. She is not Arab and her father in fact is of East Indian ancestry, though he does hold a Saudi passport. She lived in Saudi Arabia for a little over a year and half, when she was 3 or 4 years old.
There is no way this young talent will or is even considering not continuing her acting career. She is an American and as that she can do what ever she wants. She should follow that American dream it's her right!
