A lot of people attack beauty pageants because they claim that pageants encourage women not to have a family and to just concentrate on their looks. But the Mrs World contest defies this very boldly. As the name implies the Mrs World contest is for married women who are older than 18 years, and modeling experience is not required unlike other pageants!
Just recently Mrs World 2008 Natalia Shmarenkov was crowned, she is a very famous singer in her country –Ukraine- and goes by the stage name Camalia!
Contestants for the competition came from over 40 countries and were mostly working mothers who manage to balance their beauty, work and families! To be honest I’m not too big on pageants but this is one pageant I have to give props too! True it is appreciating outer beauty but also encouraging mothers to not give up on themselves and showing them that they too can have a life and be mothers!
