So you may have read my article about Turkish dramas before and as you may have gathered I’m not a big fan but this sudden surge of Noor related divorces is just outrageous. It seems that husband all over the Arab world –including Saudi Arabia- are divorcing their wives due to their uncanny obsessions with the character of Muhannad! You cannot blame the guy for being good looking and that I understand but then was it nessecary to bring this to the Arab world?!

It is obvious that the women are falling in love with Muhannad because of the way he ‘woes’ the women on the show and because of how perfect his character appears! Maybe the men should also lay off throwing around divorces, but again I understand it’s hard to live with a woman who arrives to a funeral and asks if they have MBC 4 so she can not miss Noor and Muhannad (true story)! Do we ban the series? Censor it? Replace Muhannad with someone ugly? What is to be done!

How ridiculous! If a man divorces a woman over a television show, then he is not only an idiot, but incredibly immature. She's better off without him. He obviously has NO CLUE what committment really means. I pity children having such such a father.
Wow...are Arabs that stupid???? I am embarrassed by this!!! He is a CHARACTER on a TV SHOW People!!!! So what if women admire him. Its only natural for a man or women to be attracted to a beautiful actor/actress. After all they are acting on a SHOW and their character is meant to be attractive. WOWWWWWWW I am so disappointed by how ignorant Arabs have become. Why why can we not be normal like the rest of the world when we watch television???
Also, I want to mention that this is all from EXTREME Islam and nothing else....sorry if this offends anyone, but its the absolute truth. Anything extreme is not a good thing, and it seems like extreme Islam is spreading throughout the Arab world. Do not get me wrong I am not against religion or islam, but I am against how ignorant they are as a result of it.

Karim, Jools was right when stating that an interesting and happy marriage does not fall apart due to such a reason ; These are in no way happy marriages.
A happy marriage constitues of understanding, compromise and respect between two partners, something obviously lacking when a husband throws the word 'talaq' over a TV charactor. It would be very easy to label these men as cruel selfish, insecure and heady with their own power knowing they are in complete control. Unfortunately a lot of Arab men suffer from crisis due to their sense of shame and humiliation, in the past few decades a lot of damage has been done to the Arab psyche. I am not trying to excuse Arab men by saying that but frustration and feeling of inadequacy can make you act in a very irrational manner.
I do not believe it is the result of Islam either; Such horrendous treatement by men towards their womenfolk can occur anywhere in the world even in the most 'civilized' nations.
I can understand being frustrated with your partner when they get obsessed with celebrities but goodness gracious some of these women have nothing else, let them have Muhannad until the series finishes and they can obsess with the next series that follows.

Be open minded people.... Why is Noor divorce his husband because of Muhannad? If thats the case, maybe because there are reasons... But people should not blame Muhannad.... It is just a SHOW. It is his character to portray.... Nothing else....

I've heard alot of people talkin about this nd most people seen to want to blame arabs, but regardless of culture, some people actually try to stick it out with each other and others do just fught for no reason, even though they should be greatful that they have someone, living in a world where theyre are people who've lost their families or have been separated from their loved ones, and people need to see that one day, theyre gonna need that person they carelessly chucked away.

why look at it this way,,think of the good things the beauty of this actor has brought to some families.My husband is totally not romantic but by watching the series with me and realizing how much i love this actor,and by telling him "look how he treats his wife" i noticed some nice changes in him,,it's funny they get jealous sometimes from an actor ,,but still it's good,i'm glad.During the past month my husband has become very caring and romantic,not like he wasn't before but now more.so i'm glad i met mohannad..lol..as for the divorces rates,this is silly,,quarrels,arguments,,,,etc..ok....but divorce???????common
Mohannad is really handsome and he is acting very good as an actor. Of course all of us when you work in the movies or TV series must be care yourself to become more handsome and beautiful otherwise if you are not that, no one will watch you. Be understand all actresses and actors must be good looking so that you will have more fees on your show. To be easy millionaire be handsome and beautiful and act perfectly in the TV and Movies then you will be famous and you will have a successful career. This is the life to be an actress and actor.
Genthlemen: When your ladies friends & wife admired Muhannad an actor in the Noor TV series, just leave them this is only a TV show a normal show, there is nothing to be changed your life just because of him. I wish you all enjoying only watching this TV series and hope no personal distructions.
