In Islam parents are encouraged to teach their children swimming, archery and horse riding and schools in Saudi are taking this idea and implementing it effectively. It all started with the ‘Open Day’ the Saudi government enforced on schools which is very much like an activities day for the students and each school has chosen to do something different with their students.

A specific school in Najran has chosen to teach the students archery and horse riding after a lots of enthusiasm from the students especially those who wants to serve their countries later on in life.

I think this is a great way in order to turn these boys into men by bringing them closer to their culture. Those in charge at the Saudi schools claim they will try to progress the ideas for the ‘Open Day’ to make them more interesting for the students and to cater to all of their interests.
