I spoke recently about different cultures entering the Arab world and today I wish to share with you another story of a ‘foreign’ culture invading our world. Just recently Indian actress Katrina Kaif was stopped by Egyptian police when she was filming a scene at the Pyramids. The reason the police felt they had to interfere was because according to eye witnesses she was wearing a skirt so short you could hardly distinguish it from lingerie!
Of course this drew a massive crowd and as they say ‘a hot body and Indian beauty’ who could say no! But the thing that struck me most is how disrespectful it is of her to not only walk in a Muslim country like that but go to the historical pyramids where our ancestors are buried dressed in such a manner. Yet again I must say this wasn’t her first time, she arrived at the burial site of Sophie Makdes also wearing an inappropriately small skirt.

i don't think the police should have stopped her, i mean she should have by herself felt uncomfortable wearing such a short skirt and did she not feel uncomfortable by the amount of people staring at her?!!! But off course I do agree it was very disrespectful of her!
whatever country u go to in the world ur expected to respect their rules and traditions. and so wat if she's a bollywood actress? she should have some modesty and respect for the country and its people.
hey am an arab muslim whose living in india i just want to tell u that its nothitng like what u said in there culture its very normalllll to wear somthing like that and i can't tell u how much they respect us here in india ..but its just that she is used to it..what about all the tourists who come to egypt they also wear stuff like that..an sorry to say i once saw an adult pics was taken for an adult movie and it was shot in luxur and aswan and near the pyrimads and the pics were taken with the security ppl just becuz they were payed 100 pounds or maybe less,,but indians do respect us i took my indian friend with me to the masjid and she her self with out me telling her she wore covered clothes and a vail to cover her hair...on top of that if u r talking about tradtions then u should go to marina in el sa7el el shamali and see what do muslim gurls do there and then talk about indians..
get over it, i live in america and most of the egyptian and arab girls here are the first to be disrespectful. also they r the first to wear revealing clothes! especially the lebanese and saudi and egyptian girls. also the pakistanis are the worst when it comes to morals. as an arab and muslim, i think we;re always the first to judge and point fingers when we know we shouldn't and we know we're guilty of the same actions, soooo GET OVER IT seriously, there are other things in the world to be concerned about!
