Rumor has it that Lebanese singer Elissa got a very interesting marriage offer from a rich guy from the Gulf ... and she refused it!
It seems the guy, which is an acquaintance of hers, popped the question and offered Elissa a sum of $1 Million and an island in her name! Irresistible, no? Well, yes!
It seems Elissa is aware of the conservative nature of the guy and thus predicted that he'd want her to quit singing!
Elissa preferred freedom and her career to all that money!
What do you think? Is this just a rumor? Or was there such an offer?

umm, he is offering money cuz(idk if she is) but in islam, or arab culture(what ever it is) there is this thing called dowries, were a man has to give money to the girl or girl's parents inorder for the girl to be handed in the hands of marriage. So yeaaaa..but she did the right thing, if she wants to sing, then who cares, she's like already rich, and a million dollars is not that much these days. i mean it's alot for marriage, but still not alot.
One million is not enough for her body powder per year. If I were her I would have taken the offer as an insult.
