I have just been browsing the old StarAc-5 pages and found your reply in the "Dailies 111" thread that I was not aware of, as I did not go back there.

Thanks for responding. On all what you said there we are unanimous. The bottom line is we both hope - and, I'd say, many other people as well - that Rula Saad should be gone - the sooner the better ! The show, that we all like so much, or used to like it (as in my case), is badly in need of the major reconstruction if it is not to finish just as another mediocre commercial TV entertainment for teens.

The only aspect of the (current) show (remember the first two seasons!) where we cannot find the common ground is the reality TV part (the soap opera). I am just amazed that you take that part so much to your heart (!?) Would not like to offend you, but there are some good texts (and books) on how the reality TV is made where you could find out how much it is "real." Whoever you are attracted to, that character and all others are mostly part of the reality TV environment ...

I must admit I have never participated on any other forum before this one (this season, and do not think have interest to do it again), and in "scanning" the comments could not help noticing some similarities. You could say all contributors could be grouped in a few groups, age-wise and otherwise. Like: (1) age 13-16, Arab girls in North Am.; (2) age 17-19, girls and some boys, in North Am;; girls looking for the male romantic models; (3) age 19-24; the college students, realistic about their fantasies; young people in the west "tuning to" their Arab roots; some with the artistic inclinations, especially music; some practicing English writing; (4) age 24-29; the working young adults, mostly of the Arab origin, keeping interest in their culture, most in the North Am.; most not married, with extra time on theitr hands; some with the strong interest in the "oriental" music, or Arab culture, as opposed to the west where they happen to live; (5) age 30-50; occasional visitors with different motives : from the need to educate the younger forum commentators to those who watch the show with their children; some who like to combine their interest in the entertainmet (the primes) and practicing English (their 2nd language).

I suspect we are both in the group '4.' What baffles me is the way you write your comments. The form is very "male"-like; also, consider your "nickname" - the 'W' - very few female persons would call themselves a 'W' !? (Except if it were the 'M' upside-down, from the initials "MQ.") But, you might have some technical education background and that would explain it. On the other hand, your expressions are often "feminine;" also, considering your female energy for the "Qwaider man" I am tempted to think of you as a female. Sorry for musing about this, but you have been on the forums so ubiquitous that I was sometimes wondering about your gender. You do not have to respond; for my sake I'd conclude that you are a young working gal in the North Am, who likes what she does and does not mind using her time for doing it.
