Tuesday night was a boxing match for American Idol finalists, David Cook and David Archuleta.
The two Davids performed 'against each other' in three rounds as mentors Clive Davis and Andrew Lloyd Webber watched and listened to every note and every tune that came out of their mouths.
This is really The final countdown and tonight, one of the Davids will be the 7th American Idol!
So, what did David Cook sing?
He did 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' by U2, 'The World I Know' by Collective Soul and a song written by the American Idol song writing competition finalists.
How did he do?
He did as expected, nothing overwhelming though. The judges approved of his singing and song choice, except Simon, who though his choice wasn't really that great for the finale.

I love them both. They were the best since day 1. But I want Archaletta to win
David Archuleta brought it last night!!! He is much deserving of the win. Being the favorite so early in the competition and finishing up as the underdog for reasons that have nothing to do with singing, this young guy just came out and sang his heart out as usual. And his sound is something that can only be described as a gift. He is an AMAZING talent!!! So mature for his age....what a future he will have :)
Both Davids are full of talents and they are amazing. But I want David Cook to emerge as the American Idol for 2008!!! For me, Cook is more flexible, he has an X-factor. As what I had observed, David A. was so monotonous when it comes to performance during the entire competition. He has not done any extraordinary performance since day one, yes he has a good voice but that's the only thing he can do, to sing mellow songs. So for me, DAVID COOK is the man!!!!
