ofcourse its not, because it is haram, but we have all done it, so if someone does lie, they have to pray that allah forgives them, and as well tell the person you lied to the truth.

allah said it was ok to lie if ur in war, if theres a relationship problem that ur trying to fix, if two friends are fighting, and if ur in a life and death situation...other than that its not ok

Nothing is greater than being honest. But sometimes we find ourselves in a place where we have to lie to avoid something worse.....I think as long as the lie causes no harm to anyone and if it is concerned with personal issues then its ok to go with but its a shame when we make an issue out of a big lie.

WTF did you all think you live in Eutopia or something. OFCOURSE it is ok to lie, in certain circumstances, it would be a CRIME not to lie.
Imagine someone thug is interrogating you for the where abouts of a friend of yours, and he wants to do some harm to him, you could lie to the thug to prevent physical harm.
Imagine an old man with a heart condition, diagnosed to have cancer, his family tells you that it is gurenteed that he will get a heart attack had he known he has cancer. If you don't lie, you might as well have killed that person.
Lieing is ok in certain situations. Those that claim they won't lie no matter what and it is not ok are living in a dream world. Don't be such close minded folk.

EVERYBODY LIES! and people who say they dont they're lieing! its as simple as that .. you have to lie sometimes but not all the time! but it realy does hurt to live a lie .. but then again this is life and people seem to be getting worse with each century .. so yea.

It depends if that lie doesn’t cause any harm to either part or even third part, than I think its ok. But lying in general is a wrong thing think to do. Any relationship (friendship, marriage, bf & gf etc.) build up on lies do not last. However us humans we are no angels and therefore do lie from time to time, whether as for a joke, to help a close person, or even to bail your self out of trouble you have done. I would just like to apologies for anyone I have harm in my live, by my lies of course unintentionally, coz I won’t lie to harm a person intentionally at all.
