Ajman City Centre

It is sometimes healthy to ask yourself ‘would I have done the right thing?’ when you see a noble act committed. And I couldn’t help but ask myself that exact question when I hear about the two migrant workers who found a bag containing 400,000 dirhams in cash and 1,700,000 in blank cheques whilst cleaning Ajman City Centre. The worker who found the bag immediately handed it in to security who gave it in to the police!

The centre claims it is very ‘proud and grateful’ yet in my eyes they failed to show this gratitude after rewarding the workers with 1500 dirhams in vouchers! 1500 dirhams?!! That is not even 1% of the amount they found! Surely the workers are regretting their honesty after they were cheated out of a decent reward. I would like to think I would have done the same if I was in there position but I would have been deeply disappointed that honest men are no longer acknowledged these days other than with nice words.

I feel that fro 2 workers to find a bag full of money and probably dreamed about how their lives would be changed if the money was in fact theirs and probably wrestled with the decision about keeping it or at least fantasizing about it , but did the right thing that their Dameer told them to , they should have been rewarded BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe they got so little. That's how you encourage others to do the same.

Allah yiftaha be wijihkoum ya rab and give you 2 what you deserve.
