Last night, in a huge event held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, another beautiful African American was crowned Miss USA 2008!
A 26-year-old entrepreneur from Texas, Crystle Stewart, beat 50 other girls from around the USA to the title.
Crystle is a graduate of the University of Houston and runs her own business and models professionally!
Miss USA 2008 has a huge goal she hopes to hit; international philanthropy.
When asked what she hoped to achieve, Crystle said: "I want to talk to people about how to set a goal and achieve it, Because I just achieved my goal."
This is the second year in a row, that an African American wins the title. Only five black women hold the title.

waleg you have your info all wrong. first of all she is not the second black african in a row two win Mrs usa. Last year Mrs Michigan won because i watched it live and saw reruns. trust me on this because my sister is a pageant type of chick. she does beauty competitions. secondly i live in sterling Hts. Michigan and i would know . the lady that won mrs usa is from Grand Rapids Mi so get ur facts straight. mrs usa 2007 and 2006 were both white. 2006- oklahoma

Miss USA 2007 is not Miss Michigan! She is Miss Tennessee, Rachel Smith.
Rachel Smith is Multi-Ethnic; she's half African American and half European American.
As for Miss USA 2006 ... yes she's white ... But she's not Miss Oklahoma! She was Miss Kentucky, Tara Conner.

2007 Rachel Smith is half black, and she represented Tennessee.
Matter of FACT Michigan has only had TWO winners which were in 1990 and 1993.
I watched MISS USA and i thought there were better choices, and pretty girls then MISS TEXAS. She kind of reminds me of a transvestite.
I cannot believe it. Is she attractive. Yes she is. Well, sort of. In a ghetto kind way, you know she appears to have been around the block a bit. So if that's what beauty is in the eyes of America, WOW am I glad that I am not American.
Guys, you forgot to mention, Chelsi Smith who won Miss USA 1995, she represented Texas. She eventually won the Miss Universe 1995 pageant in Namibia. She's also african american.
