With the Idol Gives Back event coming up tonight, last night's theme -songs that inspire- is in total harmony ... but were the contestants in harmony too? How did the top 8 do?
I'm not really going to give my opinion of the performances ... because I'm today, just as cranky as Randy Jackson was last night!
The first to sing is Michael Johns and his choice was an Aerosmith oldie, Dream On.
The second to sing is Syesha Mercado and her choice was Fantasia's I Believe.
The third to sing is Jason Castro and he chose to do Over the Rainbow. i just have to say, this is one of my most favorite songs and he just gave it a different twist last night and i wasn't at all annoyed with that! Kudos Jason!
The fourth to sing is Kristy Lee Cook and her choice is Martina McBride's Anyway.
The fifth to sing is David Cook and his choice is kinda' original! He sang Innocent by Our Lady Peace.
The sixth to sing is Carly Smithson and she sang The Show Must Go On by Queen ... i have to say, she chose wrong! It's always a challenge to try to go up to the level of Freddie Mercury!
The seventh to sing is David Archuleta and he sang Angels by Robbie Williams.
The eighth to sing is Brooke White and her choice is Carole King's You've Got a Friend.
The best performance of the night was Kristy Lee Cook's Anyway. It was even her best performance yet. I don't think she's going to be in the danger zone this time!
As for the worst one ... Sorry Carly, but you chose the wrong song!
The results show will not be tonight ... as i said earlier, Idol Gives Back is on tonight and tomorrow night we'll see who's going to leave next.

RANNOUCH,
Randy thought this was one of the best performances of David's this season.
