Whenever there's an exam in a class ... all the students get the same questions and are tested in the same material ... Would it be fair if one or two in the class got easier questions? Or less questions? Or were tested in a different subject? ... Don't kid yourself ... it would be unfair!
Well, in Star Academy this year the eval is totally unfair and for the exact reasons i stated above!
During the eval, most of the students are given one or two Arabic songs to chose from ... while Nader and Diaa are permitted to sing only in English or French ... why?
Isn't that considered double standards? Don't blow up in my face, just think of it ... isn't this unfair for the rest of the students?
Here's my whole argument ... you may not like it, but i''m only stating facts ...
If Nader cannot sing in Arabic, then he should have applied for a place in Star Academy France!
In the past Starac seasons, students who couldn't sing Arabic in the eval, where nominated and nominees! I say it again ... Because they weren't good in Arabic!
Nader performs at the same level every week in the eval ... it doesn't seem he's offering anything new. Every song he sings sounds like the other song he sang ... ok, he might have a certain style, but his performances are becoming monotonous!
The thing is ... if Nader and Diaa were to sing in Arabic in the eval, they would be nominees!
Why not sing the same song that all the other students are singing and then that would be a real evaluation ... 'cause that's the meaning of an evaluation! Seeing what a number of students do with the same thing!
There's one more thing ...
In one of the past seasons of Starac, a student got punished after he/she used the fire extinguisher as a prank and was named a nominee ... Mme. Rula was furious with the students when they used a safety tool for fun!
Remember last week, or the week before ... Nader opened up the fire extinguisher and used it all over the academy ... but there was no punishment ... Mme. Rula didn't even mention it ... it's like the thing never happened! Don't you find that fishy?
And let me put it in another way ... if it were not Nader who used the fire extinguisher ... let's say it was Mohammad, then i would put my money where my mouth is and i would say Mme. Rula would have punished him severely and he would have been put as a nominee that week!
I ask again ... why the double standards with Nader?

Its right. The teachers are very soft with Nader. Because the like him very much. The are thanking him of all what he do. Like every class of Wadih, Wadih is thanking him all the time of what he do in the prime. And Gaby is thanking him all the time when he did his eval. Elissar is thanking him all the time in the calss, on the prime and on the eval.
George is thanking him in the class.
Because of that Nader is work very hard.
I think that the teachers are very soft with him because he would not be the star of this year.
But Nader when the first day he come in till now, he is working very hard and he is very sweet.
And when the teacher are thanking him for everything, automaticaly he will work harder and harder to prove himself.
And about that fire extinguisher, Hicham did not 1 thing wrong all the time he was doing things like that. Did you forget when he talked with the peopel outside? did you forget when he sleep at the phoneroom he did elektricie on the door handle? Hicham was just lauhging on Staracademy. And Nader did cleanded everything alone. And it is one thing that he did wrong!
And Mohammed dont want to listen to the teachers, Mohammed want just sing and staracademy is not just for singing. And a Star is not just about singing.
This year staracademy 5 asked peopel that can sing Englisch, French or Arabic. Not Arabic, French and Arabic. The didnt ask just Arabic.
And Nader can sing arabic he just have to work for that 2 à 3 years.
But youre right the are very soft with Nader.

If you are trying to say that teachers are making some exceptions in the case of Dia and Nader, I am compeletely against your idea. If you want to name 3 best students in every prime, Diaa and Neder will be in the list for sure. Remember even when Diaa was a nominee, she gave an outstanding performence and the atmosphere of that prime totally changed because of her presence. Nader is the same. Maybe in his personal life he's a quiet person but he knows very well how to perform on stage to entertain the audience. I mean these two along side Amal B. and maybe Mirhane (although I don't like her at all) are the best performers in this season.
On the other hand, I am with you at this point that it's Arab star academy and all of the students should be able to sing in Arabic. But this matter should be taken into consideration when they are choosing the students for the program. They know some of the students are not able to sing in Arabic so if singing in Aranbic is a priority in this show, they must not choose contestants who sing only in French or English.
I like both of them but I'm sure that they will be nominee because of this matter in near future. I mean it will be the only reason for their nomination because the performance and voice of both of them are great. Remember Tina in the last season. She was one of ther best performers in each prime. Although her voice was not so great and she was singing only in English in evals and primes, teachers were always praising her but suddenly she was chosen as a nominee while Sally who was worse than her was not a nominee. As the reason of her nomination teachers said they can't understand her words when she's singing in Arabic.. I'm sure that Diaa and Nader will face the same situation in final evaluations.
Finally, I just want to make you sure that as long as Abdallah is there neither Nader nor Diaa won't win this show. Maybe they can make it to the final but this season's winner is Abdallah.

I am from morocco, so I understand why it is hard for Nader to sing in Egyptian or Lebaneese. I don't like him as a singer but I understand why he has an accent. If you heard speak in comparison to Amel M you'll see that his accent is much thicker. Same problem with Diaa.

I don't think you know much about north african history. So here is a crush course for you. Moroccans, Algerians, and Tunisians might be speaking arabic in a different way than you are used to because throught the arab world dilects may differ. Are they more westernized? maybe they have been colonised for decades and algeria for over a century. Besides, before the arabs made homes in north africa, Berbers lived their forever, so arabic is not the only native language spoken in north africa.
I know this because I am Mroccan (part berber and part arab)
So, next time please check your info before you say things that might insult tens of millions of people.

There is a foreign song given as an option to all students just as their is an arabic option. Nader, Dia, and Zaher all sang foreign songs for their tests. It is not a double standard, it is a second option.
Nader performs flawlessly in every test and prime. All of the teachers believe that Nader is one of the best and Wadi3 has previousely stated that Nader is on a different level. I too believe that Nader is in the top 4 students this year.
I think the real double standard is towards students like Mirhan who can't sing well in any language. And don't give me that crap about her dancing, she can't dance. At the begining they even told her they would give her specialized dance lessons because she couldn't dance.
Fuad has stated his opinion that Nader can not win unless he sings arabic. All part of the game people. Nader has an arabic song by Samo Zein schedueled for this weeks prime. Wait till we hear him in that and then judge whether he can or can't sing arabic. Infact he has already nailed the rai song "Youm Wara Youm" and I believe he will do so again with the arabic song this week.

The pool of "talents" this season was limited, so the LBC had to make the best of what was available. There are only 4-5 good voices and the rest are just the "filler" for the show.

With Shada's winning last year the Lebanese StarAc got into the international spotlight for the first time! Why not try and give something to the non Arab public this year and rekindle that interest? Nader and Dia are perfect for the role. The LBC can only gain from having them in the show.

When Nader's role is finished and the season is near the end, as the majority of the viewers are from the Arab countries, he will be discharged (most likely in the 14the or 15th prime). The "professors"are playing the game as they are in the show as well.

This is my first time commenting but i have been following the show and i want to share my opinion.
In truth, Dia is actually better then Nader, her voice is much stronger.
And the screaming that nader does in every song, thats shouting, not singing,
All Nader is is a performer with an average voice, which is perfectly fine for this show but there are people better then him in the academy and they deserve more recognition.
In order of best to worst i think they are:
Mohammed - by far the strongest voice
Shahinaz - strrongest girl voice, and she can act
Saad - strong voice but a bit typical
Abdullah - great but his voice goes mostly for serious voice..got a bit annoyed when they gave him al bint al jeerany
Amal B - her voice is different and she has the best stage presence of the girls
Dia - strong voice but needs to practice in arabic more.
Nader - he was amazing when he started but now im getting a little bored of him..sorry to the fans!hes not doing anything new and slowly the teachers are realising his voice actually needs work.
Amal M - i like her voice even though it s not strong and shes a sweet girl
Bader - his voice is quite good but he needs to have more presence
Mostafa - okay voice but needs a lot of work
Mirhan - no voice whatsoever, just another Haifa
