Tonight we saw the premiere of the much awaited series, Jeeran.
Maybe some of you have already seen a few episodes on other LBC channels, but we are watching it on LBC Satellite channel on Nilesat!
So, the first episode starts like this:
Four guys live in an apartment together and are cooking together!
Ahmad, Fadi, Khalifeh and Ali drowning in cooking, washing the laundry and other daily chores!
Fadi goes out with Tina … but that wasn’t an easy task! She’s serious, he’s not … she’s a hard working girl, he’s not … they’re total opposites … but with a new and devious tactic, he did manage to get her to go out with him!
The we meet Marwa … heading towards the fridge! Obviously in another apartment. Suddenly a girl shouts from the inside … Sally!
Those two girls are looking for another room mate to share the rent!
Shaima is the third girl in the apartment with them but she’s never there and they have to answer all her phones!
So, until now .. I don’t find that the series is fun and attracting! Sorry! It still lacks something!
The episode continues …
Turns out Ahmad is studying theater and hasn’t told his dad he dropped out of Architecture!
And in comes Joseph! He’s unlucky with finding a production company that’s willing to produce his song for him!
Ok, Shaima walks in the girls apartment and the girls have a silly conversation about men! … Sorry, but it’s too boring to mention!
Ahmad is always wearing his headphones and listening to music, so he doesn't hear the girls knocking on the door to get in! Oh1 they are invited to dinner at the guys apartment! Of course the guys want the girls to wash their laundry for them!
Fadi and Tina arrive ... they are talking about future fantasies about the perfect girl and the perfect guy!
And with the arrival of Fadi, all can have dinner at last!
Joseph gets a call from his GF (turns out its his fiancee) ... it seems things are tense between them!
She wants him to find a good contract but he's not getting there!
Tina is looking for an apartment to share rent .. the perfect candidate for the other girls ... but the worst option for Fadi! She'll be across the hall and he'll be under her nose all the time! Ouch!
So, he confronts the girls and tells them that it's the worst choice!
His friends don't understand why he's so mad! But Joseph agrees with Fadi!
In all cases, it's a bad night for Fadi!
Hey! Did you notice that the layout of the girls apartment is exactly like that of the girls' apartment in FRIENDS?
Ok ... Shaima is a cover girl at last!
Ahmad and Marwa practice in the gym together.
Joseph meets a girl at the university under strange circumstances!
She took his parking space and then he parked exactly behind her so she couldn't move!
Then out of guilt, he lets her use his phone and she uses it for silly, small talk!
I must admit, some instances are funny and interesting, but there are way more other instances that are totally boring!

i dnt think its hot at all....they definetely cant beet F.R.I.E.N.D.S!!! its not funny at all and its boring!!

i thought it was so boring..there were some funny parts but it was really rare...sorry but it was dull...
wait till u see the second episode i found it the best one between the 5 episodes shown on tv untill now
the best ones acting are deffenitly TINA JOSEF AND FADI !!

I think it's boring and while I was watching I switched to other channels coz it felt so silly...shaima,marwa,ahmed and ali can't act..fady, sally and tina are good actors..and joseph should stick to singing :) khalifa is the best actor in the bunch :)
I dont actually think that this show will ever be successfull.. thats because half of them cnt even act.
If emad woz there it mite have been more fun

It's a pretty dull show. The Arabs should stick to what they are good at, like soap operas, rather than trying to copy American TV shows...

i dont think its that bad its at times entertaining
i like shayma the most of all, idk she seems different then her normal personality so it shows she can act, everyone else seemed exactly like themselves its like star academy with a script

Imad will show in the 4th or 5th episode he plays the role of Marwa's brother.
I've been watching the show from the 1rst episode. oK it's not hilarious but it's entertaining i personally like it

I've been watching it as well and think it's good. Remember, Friends was NOT a hit the first couple of years it was on the air in the States. The acting can only get better as they learn...I love seeing everyone and hope it will be successful.
I wateched it last night and thought it was okay (they only just started showing it in australia)
It wasnt hilarious but there were a few jokes and its great to see the old students trying their luck in acting
i think it's enough that fadi is acting in there
ppl how u can judge a series from one episode????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!+ iwatched the othe episodes on lbc europe,ican tell u the show is really nice +its their first time of actin wallah they r talented and its not supposed to be thatttttttttt funny its social series ,ithink its nice and pllz judge on it after 15 episode not from episode one looooool coz it doesnt make any sense,and dont compare it to friends,coz we have our culture which is really different about the american culture,and im big fan of friends ba icant deny its bold show and its all about love and s.. loooooool,so we can`t compare it to jiran okies,
