Will LBC America show the prime today?
Well it's my first post of this season I think. I'm a long time poster on Waleg and here are my positives and negatives of each of the candidates thus far?
Shahinaz
POSITIVE: Her voice is very good. The only girl this year who's voice holds up against the great female voices we get every year such as Shatha, Marwa, Hana, Zizi ,Amani, Baha, etc. Although I probably wouldn't put her at quite the same level. Her performances lately have been VERY good. She should have been in the top 5.
NEGATIVE: As a personality she is annoying. She is just not outgoing and is somewhat rude actually. Also I found it annoying when she kept chasing Ahmed around while he treated her like crap. Seriousely she needs to get herself together.
Badr
POSITIVE: Good voice actually. The dude can sing about as well as Mustafa.
NEGATIVE: He is invisible. Not only is he invisible, but most of the time when he does talk, he comes off as being arrogant. He shouldn't stay long.
Amel M.
POSITIVE: She is an unbelieveably sweet girl. Probably my favorite personality among the girls. She is nice to everyone. Her voice is ok in arabic and good in french. In general she isn't THAT good. She is very presentable and looks perfectly like a model. She is also a good dancer. They should use her more often for medley's.
NEGATIVE: Her voice is not really top. Hopefully they will keep her longer then Mirhan but idk.
Zaher
POSITIVE: He is a nice guy and has a moderate voice for certain english songs.
NEGATIVE: His voice is very weak. His performances have been bad. He is probably next guy out.. I am Palestinian so trust me on this one.
Mirhan
POSITIVE: She is a pretty girl and used to be one of my favorite personalities.
NEGATIVE: She has become a witch. She used to be nice but since she got #1 she thinks she is all that. Her voice is the worst, she can't dance, her acting isn't as good as she once said, and she CAN'T DRAW!!! Seriousely now, she seems to think that she is succeeding because of personality, but all it is is her looks. THAT'S IT. The academy needs to stop treating her special. She's got nothing. And she needs to stop chasing Nader around. She shouldn't have been in the top 5.
Sa3d
POSITIVE: Excellent voice. One of the better ones. He and does a wonderful job with every song. He works hard and will go far. Really not much to say here, he's good.
NEGATIVE: His issue with Dia was just terrible. I mean sure Dia was pushy, but he also treated her like a girlfriend. No mistaking that. He told her the necklace meant nothing. And all of the sudden he says he likes someone else and cuts off ties with Dia, the poor girl is in a depression.
Dia
POSITIVE: She sings very well in english and french. She is also a nice girl. She will make it to the tour.
Negative: Can't sing arabic. Also she was very pushy with Sa3d. Lastly she is in an absoloute depression and her performances haven't been so good lately. I actually don't think she should have been top 1.
Mustafa
POSITIVE: He is a generally nice guy. His voice is very good especially in certain softer type songs. A very good candidate overall.
NEGATIVE: His voice isn't that strong. He just doesn't match up to Sa3d's voice in more old fashion type songs.
Abdullah
POSITIVE: Amazing voice. Straight up. He has a peculiar charm to his voice in everything he does. He sings khaleeji and all other types just as well. He is even great at singing english songs, especially Sinatra stuff. His voice is one of the best and better then many guest singers. He is also has a good personality and is good on stage. Honestly in a match up between Sa3d vs Abdullah, I must say that Abdullah is much better. Sorry Sa3d fans.
Abdullah has a serious shot at being a finalist or the star.
NEGATIVE: He doesn't talk enough, too quite. He needs to have a recognized personality if he wants to win. That is his major weakness keeping him from being the star.
Amel B.
POSITIVE: She is very good actually. Her voice is good in french and even better in arabic. She is very good on stage even though sometimes she over acts. She is also a great dancer. A very nice personality and a she's really good looking. Overall probably the second or first stongest girl.
NEGATIVE: ummmm not much here really. Sometimes she over acts on stage. Her voice isn't as good as Shahinaz. And she shouldn't imitate Mirhan because she is MUCH better, and Mirhan's success is only temporary.
Mohammad
POSOTIVE: VERY strong voice. He has reeeaaally good especially for higher volume types of songs. But infact as we saw yesterday he can also sing softer songs. Definitely one of the best voices. Everything he sings is just enjoyable to listen too. He is actually a real nice guy. He is on par with Abdullah and better then Sa3d in my opinion. He has a real shot at being the star if only he could overcome his negatives.
NEGATIVE: We all know this. He is very aggressive. Overly so, to the point where he has trouble getting along with everyone. And in starac personality is key. He also seems to have trouble paying attention to and learning from teachers. If he wants to be the star he has to fix this issue. But despite all of this he still comes out and sings great.
Nader
POSITIVE: This guy is amazing in everything he does. He is nice and liked by everyone and every single performance he has done has been near perfect. Definitely one of the better contestants over the years. He sings french and english songs amazingly. Infact I listened to the entire starac french sing l'envie d'aimer and none of them came close to Nader. This is not to mention ofcourse NADER CAN SING ARABIC. He can. We have heard him do it in primes and he sang "Youm wara Youm" perfectly. He sings most arabic songs much beter then Mustafa atleast and the kinds that fit him just as well as Abdullah and Mohammad. The probalem is they don't give him arabic roles, because they need him to sing with foreign singers every prime. If Nader starts to sings more arabic he can easily be the star or a finalist. Atleast a semi finalist is he doesn't.
NEGATIVES: He doesn't get arabic roles, which he needs if he's going to win.
Well that's my take.

Yezen, I enjoyed your commentary and completely agreed with your analysis. I think the two best contestants are easily Mohammed (for Arabic singing) and Nader (for overall performing ability and versatility). Abdullah is quite good, too.

I enjoyed your comment but sorry Yezen, i dont agree with your view on Nader, i dont think he will be a finalist because his voice isnt good enough in arabic, eventually he will be a nominee. And the problem of arabic isnt because hes not being given roles, its because hes simply not good enough to sing arabic songs as good as Mohammed, Abdullah or Saad.
And even in english, sometimes what he says in english isnt understood properly. His perfomances are getting a little boring , we need to see something new from him or he will be put as nominee, his popularity wont last long.
I dont think Mohammed is aggressive, thats a big judgement to make. The only reason all these arguements include him is because he's overly sensitive, anything gets to him. And to be honest the students have abeen a little mean to him these days, everything he does or says is turned into a big thing. Like i find it really rude when hes sitting in the living room and they tell him to stop singing, its a singing show, he can sing as much a she likes. He is the biggest threat to the otehr contestants and now we know he wont be put as nominee for a long time because Wadi3 said that they cant risk him as nominee cos he could easily go, they cant lose a voice like his, there will be many complaints. And i find it amazing how he's included in all these arguements yet he manages to get on stage and sing the best out of any of the students.

the potential nominees for next week will be ZAHER, BADER,MIRHAN/MOUSTAFA.
for me this season is quite disappointing, most of the contestants dont have a good voice, just simply stage presence. the only clear winners are MOHAMMED, SAAD, ABDULLAH OR SHAHINAZ.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU MIA!! MOHAMMAD HAS A STRONG VOICE AND AN AMAZING PERSONALITY!! IN MY OPINION, I THINK MOHAMMAD SHOULD WIN THIS YEAR!! IF HE DIDN'T WIN, THIS WOULD BE UNFAIR AND I THINK EVERYONE KNOWS THAT!!!:)

My favorite girls:
Amel B:(amazing stage presence & wonderful voice in arabic & french, great dancer, great personality, personally she is my favorite girl including voice, charisma & personality).
Shahinaz(beautiful voice, not such a great personality, she talks a lot about others behind their backs).
Amal M: (nice voice in french & arabic. She has a wonderful personality, one of the sweetest people ever, she's so nice and cares about everyone, she definitely deserved winning the Best Friend this week...I am so happy for her, great dancer).
My favorite guys:
Saad:(amazing voice & good personality).
Abdallah:(outstanding voice & sings well in english & arabic, he's kind of quiet).
Mostafa:(soft voice, he sings arabic songs well, good personality, very likeable).
Nader:(best french & english guy voice in all seasons of Star Academy, nice personality).
Mohamed:(has an amazing voice but he needs to work on his personality and how he deals with others, be more likeable and not get angry & take things to seriously).
Zaher:(good personality but sorry he has a horrible voice and keeps messing up on stage...nashaz).
*The contestants I did not write about are the ones I don't really like or the ones who I really don't care for voice wise.

I Agree with you on everything you said, except one thing..which is abdullah being a very nice guys. im sorry but a person who sits and talks about other ppl (mohammed) behind his back is very rude..and laughing at him, and making fun of him right infront of his face is basically and simply very rude.
i personally like mohammed a lot..yaa he has an attitude problem that needs an adjustment but thats how he has and he cannot change..and when it comes down to it..after every fight he apologizes.. i mean i would probably hate that coz i dont like it when ppl get very mad so easily and yell here and there and hurt other with some harsh words but thats how he is..and he wont change coz hes in an age where he wont change.
my point is, he has a big heart and he doesnt hold grudges but abdullah..omg he evil..and ive seen him many times and trust me..i dont like him at all..i used to like him before but now im sorry i just cannot stand him coz hes soo fake and i dont like ppl like him and even foad mentioned that. and abdullah knows that mohammed can be a threat to him in the finals.
i think some student try to make moe mad on purpose knowing that he gets mad very easily coz hes very sensitive, and they do that simply to kick him out..coz like wadi3 said, if he was nominated he will be out right now coz if he wasnt saved by the audience, his friends wont save him either.
i feel bad for him, coz in the dailies they always show his fight even though hes very calm sometimes..lol.
i hope i didnt offend u..i agree with u on every other thing u said...u actually read my mind esp. about mirhan coz thats exactly what i think of her.
and i think that the next nominees will be zaher, badr and mirhan/mustafa or maybe amal m..i dont know really coz star ac this very disappointing because the voices are not that great like how i thought it would be.. and they are not fun to watch like the previous star acs..my fave was star ac 3...i loved that season coz for real..it was the best.
i loved joseph, hani, chaima, fady, khalifa,maya, ayoub, hana..and everyone esle it was very interesting to watch.

by the way..i met karl wolf when he came to michigan and he is the nicest/sweetest person ever and hes not concited at alllllll..omgg when we went to see him perform....when he was done...he took a pic with every person that asked him, and he wanted to leave after the party and he ended up staying..omg hes too friendly.
ok u might not care about this but i thought id share it with u guys.
Yezen ,i agree with you in almost everything ,you were fair about what you said about each contestent .
and yes each student has weak and strong points and you summerized that in a very respectful way .
