The eighth prime of LBC Star Academy 5 starts with the usual Jeena theme song.
The first guest to adorn the stage is Haifa Wehbe and she sings with Shahinaz.
As Hilda comes over to talk to her, the audience goes mad with clapping and cheering for the Lebanese beauty. They even don't give her a chance to speak freely ... they keep on cheering!
Wadi Shamsin is the theme of the first tableau of the night.
Four students share the spotlight and perform well.
The nominees appear from behind the huge screen now.
The first to sing is Zaher, he does part of the famous song 'Lady in Red'. I must say, i didn't like his performance! Sorry Zaher, but that's the truth!
Then Asma sings part of Nancy Ajram's popular song 'Akhasmak Ah'. I didn't like her performance either!
Amal B. is the last to sing, she does part of Najwa Karam's song 'Shu Hal 7ala'.
The second guest, Alessandro Safina, appears on stage and sings a French song. Alongside him sings Diaa and Nader.
Amal B. gets to perform a song by herself!
She appears from under a huge Disco ball and sings Miriam Fares’ song Ana Leek.
Her voice might not be so great, but she’s got charisma!
Saad decides to sing a special song dedicated to his sister and her fiance! He sings ‘Mabrook’ as his family looks on from the audience.
As for Friend of the week ... This time it's Adnan!
He wins an outing to play paint ball and gets to take six of his friends with him.
It's Haifa's turn to sing again. she performs one of her newest songs.
Oh! I loved her black dress paired with those high, red, peep-toe stilettos!
The second tableau joins the Academy’s angels and the Academy Brothers!
The girls sing Rania al Kurdi’s song ‘Shaief Nafsak’.
The boys sing part of one of Tamer Husny’s songs.
Nader sings again alongside Safina.
Then Adnan and Mohammad share the stage as they sing Amr Diab's popular song 'Neoul Eh'.
At this point, the audience voting has stopped!
Diaa is the center of the nest tableau. She sings Gwen Stefani’s song ‘Wind it up’.
There are even 2 cows and a sheep on stage! Poor things, their ears must have burst because of the loud music!
Haifa appears on stage again, this time in a yellow dress and a parrot on her arm!
She sings her new song ‘Baghbaghan’ and with her sing Mirhan and Amal B.
Shahinaz now takes to the stage, with the fine tunes of the piano. She sings one of Assala’s songs. Am i right?!
As for the final part of the prime, the audience voting saved amal B. with a whopping 61.6% !
And the students have to chose between Zaher and Asma ...
They chose to bring back Zaher ... and Asma leaves ... Hard Luck Asma!

I'm really happy with the results! I love Amal. B and Zaher alot and I think it was Asmaa's time to go. Yes, she did have a good voice but all she cared about was her stupid love story with Adnan. It's like she lost her way during her stay at the academy. I also felt bad for Mirhan because she had to make the final decision. I didn't get to watch any of the prime, except for the votes. I'll catch the rest later tonight :).

Zaher has a bad voice but he's a great guy but I think he should leave soon! I am so happy Amel B. stayed, she deserves to stay because she is so talented and I loved all her performances today. Amel B. is a star! Bader was horrible today, it seemed like he was about to mess up with the words. Adnan is improving so much, his voice was very nice today...I am proud of him. Hopefully now that Asma left he will concentrate more and take it seriously because he does have a nice voice. Mostafa sang nicely today, I liked when he sang Tamer Hosny's song 'Ya Bent El Eih'. Diyaa was good today but I didn't like her performance of 'Wind It Up', I hate that song. Nader was amazing today, his voice in the second song with Alessandro Safina was amazing...wow it gave me chills. I loved today's prime so much! I loved Saad's performance so much! By far one of the best primes. Shahinaz deserves to be Top 1, she has a beautiful voice. I loved this prime so much, great songs! Haifa's last performance 'ana 3andi baghbaghan' was very nice, I like the song...the parrot was so cute, I have one just like it at home. Great prime! Next week's nominees should be Zaher & Bader, I don't know who the third nominee should be, but that's my opinion of who I think should be nominees.
Congratulation Shahinaz she deserves it. She does have a great voice. She reminds me of Amani every time she sings in the prime. She looks just like Amani do you guys agree with me.

When Zaher was nominee, it was thanks to Algeria that he scored so high.
When Asma was nominee, she stood against two girls from the same country, so the votes were split up, hence Asma received the highest percentage!
In a way, I'm glad Asma left, but in another way, I felt sorry for her. She also gave the best performance between the nominees!

Why are you folks turning this into a nationality contest rather than the talent contest it is meant to be. We are all, after all....Arabs, are we not? Whoever wins or advances in this contest and subsequently starts a singing career will be rammed down our collective throats during the next few months, or longer if they're actually good, so we might as well make the right choice in order to be able to enjoy the outcome, right?
Mirhan seems to be everyone's newest target of hatred. Why? She makes top 1 and the world turns on her. Did she pick herself? Heck no. The teachers or the powers that be voted her top 1. The fact that she celebrated her top ranking in such a big way totally matched the size of her shock when it was announced. What did you guys expect? For her to bawl her eyes out or mourn the fact that her instructors thought she was the best that week. Then tonight. I truly didn't envy her the horrible spot she was left in. She was expected to single-handedly kick someone out. I'm glad she voted for Zaher, even though I'm quite sure he's going to find himself back on the chopping block real soon. Asma was bound for the chopping block again and it just broke my heart to see her fall apart every time she's nominated for elimination. It would've been inhumane to put her through that again. It's just sad to think how much better she could've done if she had stayed focused on the business at hand and not the side show, namely the A & A soap opera.
And a footnote to all those who call Mirhan's wardrobe slutty or whatnot and who think that the candidates' living conditions and the swimming pool, etc., defy all our beliefs and traditions, please put a sock in it. If you don't like it, push the little button at the top of your clicker or change channels, but if you choose to watch, then accept it as it is. There's nothing wrong with the way they live, the way the dress and the fact that they have a swimming pool at the academy is not crime. There are millions of swimming pools in the Middle East and I've never heard that anyone was punished for having or using one. Why do we make it our business to stick our noses in other people's personal choices? Most of these candidates are young adults and are entitled to make their own choices with the full knowledge of the consequences, heavenly or hellish or whatever, so please butt out and either watch them enjoy their experience or push that little button and....... fade to black.
I think the Saad saga should end right now. Bringing his village to the academy was touching but really huge for a friend of the week award, if compared to poor Mirhan's sketch pad and colors. This preferential treatment is a bit nauseating, so enough already.
As for Nader voting for Zaher rather than his fellow North African neighbor....what of it? He voted for the one he thought was more deserving of an extra week....that's all. That certainly doesn't qualify him to be a traitor. Far from it. Respect him for having the courage to openly declare who he thinks is more deserving of possibly one measly week.
Ps. Sandy, when you ask people to bare with you, you're asking them to get naked with you. Hope you don't really mean that. ;-)

1-For people who are saying that Zaher is not pali because he was not born in palestine,wake up guys,60% of palestinians were NOT born in palestine.I,personally from Palestine I was born in UAE and I have jordanian nationality.So I'm palestinian/jordanian and proud to be.
2-Mohammad-I really love you now-and I'll be voting till end for you,and I'll say in your way"bmoot f rabbak ya zalameh",he did vote for Zaher and let it be clear,that Mohammad votes always for Zaher and Zaher will always vote for Mohammad.

yes they showed it in the daily's, as usuall, they cant go one day without showing mohamed in a bad way, as if the others are angels.
zaher told moe not to say something because its not polite then moe said so you are going to show me how to be polite, then both started raising their voices but then mustafa came and told them both to stop and go to sleep because its a stupid argument, then moe said to zaher, i am always good to you but you are not good to me then both went to bed.
They were ok the next day as of nothing happened, even moe told zaher that he will vote for him because he is from palastine.
Moe is amazing, i love him alot, i understand his thinking and i dont see what he does as a bad thing its just he is too stressed and feels like everybody hates him from teachers and students which i think they do because the students are in a competition and to me he is the best so he is danger to them and the teachers except for foad they are all against him and the big proof is that they did not give him anything in the prime.

Today’s prime was very boring, they concentrated on 3 or 4 people and the rest were ignored big time.
I said this before and I will say it again Saad does get the ROYAL treatment, what they did today was so stupid and unfair, who cares about his sister and who cares if she is getting married, they wasted five minute reportage on her plus a full song from saad to her while other students did even get a chance to sing more than one line, I don’t know what Rola is planning next, maybe a wedding for saad’s sister at one of the primes maybe at the final prime since saad will be at the finals, Rola is so racist and she favours some above others, saad is her baby and Mohamed is her enemy, she is doing this on purpose to keep him aside and wont give him any songs and just shows his fights everyday on the dailys so people hate him, I am sure there is a lot of interesting and funny stuff that she can put on the daily’s but that’s her show and she is planning for everything.
To all diaa’s fans, sorry to say this but when she sang with the cows she looked like them and sounded like them when she was saying uh uo uh uo uh uo or something like that.
I like amal b but since when the nominees get to sing 4 songs and the other students just watch them and do nothing.

Why any time, that Moroccans candidates come on the show, you find things wrong with them...For Asma thing, now all of you are "mere Thereza" how many of you fall in love when you are 16 even when you went for a vacation to see your grandma and you find some body handsome and you know that you are leaving soon...for Dia, we Moroccans don't speak as all Arabs, Arabic language. We speak some kind of dialect that you don't understand and for us is difficult for me to understand Saudi of Kuwaiti of even Lebanon....

The other stupid thing about the show is the corruption, if you want to eliminate one student why nominate three I don’t get it. Students should not have the power to vote, you have to leave it to people, I don’t get how Ahmad get eliminated before Khaled and we will see more (Suppose Mohamed is nominated, I believe he has a bad behavior but he should be on the final, the students will eliminate him, no doubt)…in all civilized system we let people vote but we have to be different because we love corruption

I respect your opinion even though you and i dont agree but i am free to say my opinion, she sounded really bad when she sang that song, and the way she moved her body with the music it was just so ugly to me. Being over weight has nothing to do with my comment, it was all about her moves and her manly voice and it was a very bad song too for her, even though she should lose weight because she is on tv and in the show business.
I dont like diaa's voice, personality, or anything she does, she is just trying so hard, not real at all, trying to be someone else. everybody has favorites and i think that everybody on this site said what ever they feel about the students in a good way or bad way.
by the way, i have listened to this song 100 times because i live in north america and its a very popular song, it does not sound like that at all.

He has to change his attitude if he wants to stay in the academy! Don't blame Rola for that! We all see how rude he is! I personally want to thank and congratulate Rola Saad on the EXCELLENT work she does and wish people would start listening to the students voices and see how they're progressing in the academy and not vote for the candidate from ur country!
im sorry but this year's star academy sucks, i never been so bored watching the primes. as far as saad goes, he sings good but gets too much attention what about everybody else. mohamed has a voice but his attitude sucks, mirhan is starting to get on my nerves, like amal m. and amal b., adnan can't stand at all, mostafa is cute but his voice needs work, nader and abdullah are good, zaher has not been progressing at all from what i have seen in the past few primes last week he didn't even sing, mirhan i like at first but now i really dont know about her, diaa i really like her alot. here are my pick for the tour based on the 8 primes so far

R we going 2 have saad academy every week like this? cuz im getting really sick of it!!!!!!!!!! saad is probably rola's secret son and she named him after her father (rola SAAD)loooolllll!!! as 4 the tour, this year it will maybe be 10 people not 9 cuz there was an extra person this year. i think the final three will be: shahinaz, saad (teacher's pet), and amal b. (she will keep on coming back from the audience votes)even though mohammed deserves it more but im sure they will try 2 make him nominee next week, if not the week after!!!

I agree with all the people who are sick of Saadacademy too. Enough already, he doen't have a great voice, he didn't discover the cure for cancer, as far as I know, and his sister getting engaged is so (YAWWWN) not important, your favoritism is showing Rula, we are sick of it and if the title is being given to him either way, don't vote for anyone ,
I also don't get what merhan is in the top 5 for exactly, I don't see in talent in that Haifa wannabbe, next to her Haifa even looked good.
Nader did very well.
Shahinaz deserves it.
Dia gets on my nerves both in he singing as well as her personality.

Asma is better off in her famil' guidance, she was too young and althoough rula could have put an end to the sopa opera of her and adnan, they used a 16 year old for ratings

The prime was not that great. the highlight of the prime for me was the song diaa and nader did with Alexandro... they were amazing, this definitely should put nader in top 5 next week.
i did not see many students waving to Asma through the windows as usual. There were only adnan, saad, diaa, Amel m and Mohammed. I don’t know may be the camera was focusing on them but we will see on the dailies tonight who sent her off.
When Alexandro visited the academy after the prime, the girls were abt to die!!
p.s i wish they fire the camera man/women who is filming the primes.....i agree they are focusing too much on the girls bodies!

For the people that responded me on one of the previous posts, well sorry that was was too rude to Asma, but here's why:
she had one of the best voices in the Academy(fact), but she spoiled her chances by "falling in love"! I meant it when I said she should concentrate more! I hate it when someone of Morocco screws up or something, I know that we're not perfect, but don't you have the same feeling when you see your compatroit screwing up? But too bad they only gave her one song for the prime, although she sang it really well!
Maybe she'll be on the tour(personally I don't think so, but who knows, Wajdi was also on the tour and he left the 8th prime, just like Asma).

My sister was not born in Iraq but she is more Iraqi than many people who are born there! that is her identity, she is Iraqi. I just have one question why most of the moroccan girls in star academy from season 1 till now they want to be in love and be with someone inside the academy?
that affected on thier work alot and they fall behind, for example sofia with bashar (season 1) which i love so much, then amal from last year with ahmad, this year asma with adnan, and diaa started with saad until he dumped her, they waisted big chances because of these relationships, except for hanna season 3 who got to the final and she was one of the best students that season, so they should learn from her that working hard and focusing in their classes would get them to the finals and being in love inside the academy takes them no where.
oh at last i found a friend from my country Ethiopia. that is honey. Yesterday's prime was better than the others. Zaher and Amal B. didn't do well on their nominee songs but asma was better singging Nancy's song. I liked Chahinaz she was the best. As for saad he is good that is the truth but he is too much in the prime. The engagement thing is more of family matter it shouldn't have been exposed likr this.
As for Asma she had the talent she could have worked more harder. i am happy because Amal B. is back and also Zaher he has to work hard other wise he will be next.
