There has always been a lot of speculation when it comes to how ‘real’ the reality TV show Star Academy is and Fawaz, the Kuwaiti contestant who was voted off, has set the record straight. According to Fawaz everything we see on that show is nothing but a play directed by Rula Saad! You know those breaks when all we see is the corridor of the Academy? Well Fawaz says that during those breaks Rula is directing the students and telling who to speak to and what to say. He says that she does this by either bringing them backstage or by using the loudspeakers that are scattered all over the Academy.
Fawaz did not stop there he also went on to call Adnan, a fellow contestant, fake and a user because after promising to vote for him he did not! Well we must keep in mind that everything Fawaz says is out of anger and that for all we know Rula Saad has instructed him to set off this marketing bomb to create controversy and increase the number of viewers!

First of all, this season of star academy 5, they are not putting the corridor any more!! So thats not true at all..
unlike season ONE, when wadi3 used to teach the students the songs for the prime they used to cut, and put the corridor. This year we are seeing every single thing that is going on inside the academy without anything being cut..
AND when they mute the voice and the camera zooms out, this is because the control would be telling the students to put on the mic, or change the batteries, or go to the room for a phone call, or something stupid like that.. nothing to tell them how and with who to talk.
Students act freely inside the academy, with limits of course..
Fawaz is angry now.. because he left the academy with no friends or let me put it in this way.. bidoon ma yebayen 7aloo.. nothing of what he said is true.. i mean Fawaz wasn't himself kaman inside the academy.. or he might be the way he was.. but what a personality sara7a!.. im sure he is a much nicer person.. but he didn't have the chance to show who he actually was!!

adnan didnt tell fawaz im gonna vote for u... but he did mention to fawaz how hes annoyed at how khaled acts..
..after the nomintation of fawaz , khalid and zaher fawaz and adnan were sitting together and adnan started telling fawaz about how khaled acts hes said "when i was in kuwait and heard that khalid could be in the academy too, i got really happy because a lot of people in kuwait said that U ARE GONNA HAVE LOTS OF FUN WITH KHALID, but when we entered the academy i found out that what they told me was not true.... khaled kila YETFALSAF AND YET9ANA3 [ SHOWOFF AND AN ACTOR]".... they were sitting in the girls room at the end behind the dressing tables and adnan talked and talked about how immature khaled was...and all fawaz replied is "ya3ni, he could be a pain sometimes but unintentionally" ....

i personally dont believe this untill i myself hear fawaz himself speaking and saying it.....
im surprised , some people that come on here ..always comment and make theories about how everything in starac is planned and how mme roula is unfair and how the votes are played with and about how a person can only go thru starac if he plays "the game" right... but when it comes out from a student [like above, btw i still think its not true] they say that this student is talking rubbish ....
just take a look at the other post on the dailies , primes and nominations and read the replies u'll see what i mean.. people trashing the program , saying its fake , making theories and proving them too.. but its tooo hard to believe it when it comes out from a student/ students ????

Maybe star academy is fake and if u dont like it.... dont watch it! let the people who beleive it enjoy it! We can never know if all of it is fake or the voted off contestants just were angry because they didnt get to go through the whole experience and they decided to make up something that might be true? but for all the people saying that its not, dont. because its none of ur business if people want to believe wat thier watching or not.... let them decide.

I think it's very rude of him to say all that just because he was voted out, the only truth i know is that Fawaz sucked big time, he knows nothing about singing, he has no manners or respect for others, and i was so happy was kicked out because he was another arrogant and cocky kuwaiti. he must shame of himself.

BamBina, you are very correct!! Who knows if this is some rumour or not? Roula Saad defintely knows what she is doing and I don't think that any one is "fake" They may be a little off b/c they are on TV 24/7!! i know I wouldn't be myself 100% Give the people a break, who knows what real and what's not? I'd rather watch this show than any of the reality trash we have here in the US (except the Amazing Race-I love that :D)

Rola Saad is the director of the show - for the LBC - from the first season. That is what she has been doing - directing it! This is nothing new. The level of detail she has been controlling has increased over the years. That is normal; especially when the LBC is not able to get very good students, like this year, they have to adjust the formula of the show and somehow make money on these average students.
My experience on this website tells me that majority of the commentators are teenagers and that as such they hate to read "between the line" and like clear-cut, black and white points. That is why I would like to proceed with just a few points.
--- Karim, who wrote this article, is very skilled writer for his audience and always manages to stir his readers - he did it this time again! If you did not bother to finish reading his article, then, do it again, and you will find out that Karim says that all what he said is just hypothetical and should not be true, but may be just a stunt for renewing interest in the show! Hence, he is just - roughly speaking - repeating a gossip, if you want it put this way. But - in every gossip there is a smidgen of truth ... But, do not take it to the excess.
--- The StarAc has to make money - that is the bottom line. If the students are mediocre the emphasis is shifted to other things, which may be created for the purpose of keeping your interest. That all goes to the dailies. If you do not care for the soap opera part of the StarAc, or are disgusted with the extent to which they are willing to go get good ratings and sell the product, do not watch it and stay on the primes only (like myself).
--- It is true the StarAc is a jumping board to the career for some students - a very few of them. They can be recognized in the beginning, before the show starts. Anyone with some music education and some market experience could tell at the very beginning who has the talent for singing and a real "chance." What remains to be seen is how these particular students can develop on the stage (but it is secondary). The small group of really talented students, not the "cute" ones, is set apart and groomed over the three months very gradually (and are becoming prominent only in the last third of season). They are the only ones who have any chance on the very competitive market. It might be said the others are just "filler" and only function in the "supportive role."

Come on people it is such a silly and Interesting program.....But we all should understand that all REAL LIFE PROGRAMS ARE FAKE......didnt this happen with a program from 5 years ago called EL HAWA SAWA FOR GIRLS WHO WANNA GET MARRIED, and we found a contestant called Nagla Acting in Tunisian TV series and later with Nour el SHERIF.....Everything is FAKE in Starac 2,3,4,5...Even the votes are cheated....Can IRAQ win the votes for Shaza!!!! You are in an extreme like the others on the opposite end, who believe it is mostly real. The StarAc is "choreographed" like all the reality TV - there are parts that are just too hard to make fake. The show is both fake and real; depends what you are looking at.
Fawaz is bitter!!! he is saying this out of being angry. i ask you all the others that we loved starting 2003. did they all lie to us. if u do then i really feel sorry for you? these guys havent given us one reason to suspect them and the first one being on that list is Madame Rula and the teachers. we have seen hands on how they've changed the lives of these students that we loved over 5 years and they gave NO reason to suspect them...
I feel sorry for Fawaz that he could not let go of his anger. Besides if that were really true wouldnt LBC have some kind of contract forbidding them from talking about this, is Fawas in Jail? was he even contacted by the LBC for being in breach of the contract...

Ok, i never watched every daily show.. and definitiely this year i don't, because i refuse too. Everyone is extremely fake on how they act in front of the camera. Didn't Amal B. say that too? I thought i read it on waleg that she said that... i give props to her for this! (my algerian girl, u go! lol) anyways... me and my fmaily who we ALL watch the prime together every friday, think that the voting commitee.. the teachers as in... aim on one person each week to vote off. They keep on voting for him along with others that they know: 1) the statitistic would vote more for someone other than the one they want out, 2) the students would vote for the one they don't want out. They analyze who is friends with who... who they usually vote for. Do they vote for voice, country, friendship between them. All this is studied well to then say who's getting out. My and my family do that ourselves when 3 people are nominated right away... and we are ALWAYS right on who's getting out. It works, try it yourself. So does Rola lead the show the she wants? yes i believe that too. I think she already has her top 5 in mind now!!! let's look at one story we all should remember:
Remember RYM, who is not all that in singing but she keeps on getting saved by the stats when she's nominated? Well.. she just wouldn't leave and Rola just completely wouldn't show her on the camera, if you analyzed it well. WHY? so that people would forget about her...and that's when she finally got out!
Rola analyzes her show well.. i don't think she talks to any of them, i have no right to say that because i don't see it. But i know for SURE 100% that she sits down and studies every student's voting routine and so on.
What fawaz said, is somewhat true and probably some is exagerated. Don't ignore completely what he said, but don't believe it 100% too.
To be honest.. i think that Fawaz shouldn't have gotten out that day. I really thought khaled was the one getting out.. judging from stats. My ideology was this: Rola wants khaled out completely. She put up Fawaz cuz they are both khaliji. SInce we know khalij always have high percentages, she wanted that to divide amongst them. Since we know fawaz sings better, the stats would be favoring him. And the so fawaz would be saved and the other person would stay along with khaled... and the votes would go to fawaz. BUT, what happened? she miss calculated... this is not first she miscalculated. It happened in the past seaons.
Season 1 and 2 were the best no doubt. 3 and 4 were ok.. 5 is getting on my nerves. I watch only the primes.
and PLEASE, do not judge me before reading the whole thing ok?
