Tonight the prime is HOT! Lebanese star Rami Ayach is the star and alongside him is Ilham Al Madfai and the group Milk & Honey.
Starting off the prime is the usual Starac 5 theme song Jeena.
Then the first guest to adorn the stage is Rami Ayach. Accompanying him are Saad and Mostafa. (what video of Rami here)

lbc star academy 5 prime 6 ramy ayach

The 1st tableau of the night stars Shahinaz and Mohammad.
Now it's time for the three nominees to come out on stage.
Amal M. sings first, then Iman sings Suna ya Sunsun, then Asma sings Al Eh.
Iraqi star Ilham Al Madfai comes to the stage now and with him Amal B. sings Ben Al Asr wel Maghreb.
The 2nd tableau of the night is like something out of Pimp my ride!
Mirhan sings Haifa Wehbe's song Baddi Eish.

Now it's time for Milk & Honey to perform. They're a cute girl group from Germany.
They came to the stage and sang their song Habibi, Je t’aime and alongside them sang Diaa.

The heat’s on between Academy’s Angels and the Academy Brothers!
And now they’re challenging each other!
They perform a song together … Will this be Amal M’s last performance with the Angels?

As for Friend of the week ... this time it's Zaher! So, what does he win?
He's going to go out on a trip to the snow! And he picks Amal B. to go with him!

Again Ilham Al Madfai is about to perform and Bader and Khaled are with him this time.
they do two of the most famous Iraqi songs, Khuttar and Mali Shughul Bil Soug. But what happened at the beginning of the song? Did they mix up? But I’m sure something went wrong!

Mostafa is in the center of the next tableau; a simple one to the tunes of Wael Kfouri's song Bhibak ana Kteer.

Rami Ayach sings again, accompanied by Saad and Abdallah. They sing Habaitak Ana.
At this point the audience voting has stopped!

Another tableau ... and for the first time, we hear Diaa and Nader sing in Arabic. They do their best in the duetto of Samira Said and Cheb Mami Yom Wara Yom.
Then another duetto is performed by Amal B. and Mohammad. They do Amal Hijazi's and Faudel's Ainak Ainak.

Academy's Angels perform again in white, sparkling dresses ... they sing Cyrine Abdel Nour's song Law Bass Fi Aini.

Milk and Honey perform again. They do their own version of Didi and with them sings Nader.

Rami ayach performs again, he sings his latest song, which is in the Khaliji dialect.

As for the results …
The audience voting has saved Asma with 55.31 %
It's down to the two Tunisian girls ... Whom do the students choose to save?
Most of the students give their vote to Amal M.
Hard luck Iman.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay amal M. is back.. though I was shocked at first coz Mohamed didn't vote for her!..

anyway Mirhan.. WOOOW.. she was sooo WOOOOOOOW tonight.. finally she got to seing a song all by herself.. last prime she only sang with the angels.. but this prime she was here and there and everywhere =D *this is my Fav. prime =D*.. she did Haifa's song very well.. it was sooooooooo HOT =D *my fav. song of Haifa.. I happen to be a big fan too.. so I was like YAAAAAAAAY all the time =D*

and Mustafa =D has his share too =D.. though I would have done anything to be one of those girls dancing all around him *I envy that particular girl who was practically sleeping on his shoulder.. <_< lucky witch! LOOOOOOOOL*

and the Brother's portrait.. COOOOOOOL.. loved that the Angel's got them all tied up.. WAY TO GO GIRLSSSSSS ;) .

didn't like Adam in the first portrait.. I don't think the song suited him much *a second he is really good.. the other his voice was just not his!!*.. he was much better last prime.

and Dia.. the girl is not sparkling like before.. I really wish something good happens to boost her ego and raise her spirits.

all were really good tonight.. no one screwed up.. that's a good thing.

oh I didn't like this Ilham guy.. the song with Amal B *oh btw. didn't she just look soooooooooo GORGEOUS.. loved her hair* there was too much music and no singing.. I though the guy forgot the lyrics or sth. I didn't like this song one bit!.. I mean if u're planning on much music and no singing.. why didn't u at least make sure there's a dance to entertain us?? I was like shouldn't they sing by now?!!!

An average prime, but, good enough. Neither the audience nor me were much impressed by Milk & Honey. Mirhan was just great! Except her dress; ... could not do it otherwise as it is Haifa's song. The first Arabic singing attempt by Dia and Nader shows only their limitations, that when they have to sing note by note they are not able to do it well. When they howl in English they are OK, as a lot of singers who do it are. Their duet sounded ridiculous! It was such a contrast when Amal-B and Muhammad started their part! Those who can sing in Arabic can switch easily to English and sound much better than the students who can sing only in English; the proof is Abdullah: his singing in English is at the level Nader, for instance, can never reach. Nader was much better with Milk & Honey, when he was in his element.

Has anyone wondered why there are twenty students? At first it looks just like a round number and nothing more. However, considering this season has so many weak students (half of them should not be in the show), why would the LBC bother to take even more students than in the seasons 4 (or 3), when there were 19 ?! They found a good format in the season 3 and the announcement this year was the StarAc would keep the same format. So, why one extra student?

If you watched the season 4, the prime-15, you can remember that Shada against Sally won by a hair margin, 51 to 49. In Egypt nobody voted for Sally as they did not wish to have two finalists and votes split between them. Then, who voted for Sally? She had fans, but the high percentage cannot be explained by that. The votes for Sally came from those who "voted against" Shada and who, at the same time, could split votes in Egypt (and "neutralize" Qamah in the fina, by having with him Sally)! I do not want to speculate who could orchestrate the massive voting effort for Sally, but it was a close call for the LBC as they escaped the shame of getting Shada dismissed just because they were using her to kick out Sally before the final.

Who are the top group students this year? It is really hard to disregard the fact the best singing - in Arabic - comes from (in no order): Muhammed, Abdullah, Shahinaz and Saad. I am phrasing it this way because the looks or the "cuteness" have not proved, so far, that they can bring a student to the final. Even the "good voice" is not enough if the student cannot sing. I understand the majority of participants on this forum grew up in the English speaking countries and are firmly with their feet in the West, and because of that can identify with and like students like Nader and Dia; but, the LBC business interests are in the Arab world where the average TV viewer does not give a hoot for the singers in English.(By the way, cheering to Nader in the StarAc hall comes from the westernized Lebanese teenagers - mostly girls.)

Much better observation of who can sing have the students themselves; they are not "fans" of anyone! When Khaled was obsessively practicing before the last evaluations he went for help to Shahinaz, Muhammed and to Saad. Last year, Shuru, in her practice, asked for help from Marwa and Shada. A student "fighting for survival" knows it. This might be a weird coincidence, in the last nominations when the students were lined up against the wall, have you noticed, the first to cross to the other side were the same top four students. Was that by chance? An LBC "teaser"? (And wasn't it interesting, those who were doing the push-ups were the weakest guys ... nominees next week?)

The public always votes for their national - if they have one - or for the regional candidate. The regions are: Maghreb, Egypt, Khaleej, and the Levant (a French name for the region roughly north of SA). This year top group students are all from different regions, except Saad and Muhammad. Therefore, the Khaleeji votes will go to Abdullah, Egypt and lot of Maghreb to Shahinaz, the Levant votes, without Lebanon, to Muhammad, and the Lebanese votes to Saad. Like the last year, the students voting will end in the prime-13 and in the prime-14 two nominees will be eliminated by the public vote - from a group "below" the top group (possibly Mustafa, Mirhan, Amal-B, Dia; but, that is not relevant). In the prime-15, unlike the last year, instead of one student against the top group student, there will be two - that way the "voting against" the top student is less effective as the votes get split to two weaker candidates (who cannot be used to push out the strong candidate). In planning the LBC relies on the statistics, like all media companies. The statistics of the votes by country are purchased from the telecomunication company.

A good example of the LBC planning ahead and the importance of considering votes by the regions is the third season. The pool of students was such that on the top where: Hani (Egypt), Hanaa (Maroc), Joseph (Leb), Shayma (Tunis), Fadi (Palest), Maya (Leb), Khalifa (UAE) . Probably before the season an assessment was made and a chance was seen that a Lebanese could win.. In order to make it more likely the format was adjusted: the final had to be with three top candidates - the other two who could be there (what would look normal to the viewers) were both from Maghreb-Egypt (Hanaa and Hani), and the votes from the Khaleej where available (as the Khaleejis were unlikely to vote for a Maghrebi candidate, or Egyptian, if they have somebody closer, in the case from Lebanon). By using the nominations they brought to the final exactly these candidates they wanted, and the Lebanese really did win (Joseph).

What is not quite clear is why the format was changed in the 4th season. In the 14th prime and the 15th of the 3rd season two by two students were eliminated, and in the 4th season 15th-prime only one student had to be eliminated. Did they mismanaged the elimination process and did not expect Sally to be so lucky and get that far, or they wanted to eliminate Shada (by counting on the voters-against), at the same time not knowing that she would become so popular (and her elimination would create a public revolt against the LBC) and were hoping to play the same game as in the 3rd season (one Maghrebi candidate, Marwa, one from Egypt, Qamah, and one weaker candidate who was there by getting counter-votes against Shada, and the Lebanese, Carlo, who would again get a good chance to collect all votes from the Middle East)? Or they just did not think about the voting-against and enlarged the number of finalists to four because there were four students sticking out as the best, but after the 15th prime (and Shada almost eliminated) realized they had to keep the nominees to three (in both 14-15 primes), what they adjusted this year by adding one student. Besides, twenty is also a nice round number.

Therefore, the one extra student this year was needed to protect the top group student from the risks in the semi-final eliminations. I believe they will skillfully chose a top group candidate who can "stay alive" and eliminate two weaker students. This a nice indicator of the careful LBC planning and of some ranking order established in the start. However, the LBC does not have totally free hand in directing the show development and minor changes happen along the way. For instance, the public voting results are genuine; they are processed by the foreign telecommunication companies; and, there is no direct pressure on the students through Rola Saad - it would come out sooner or later (besides, all students vote to protect their own interests or those of a friend). If there is some indirect influence, that is always hard to prove.

Many viewers say the StarAc competition is fake. Yes and No. No - because the best singers are always in the final. The show is guided by the LBC interests: to have appeal to the largest possibl audience (that is why they let public votes decide). Yes - because all the way before the final there is not much "competition" and the nominations are calculated.

The only leverage the LBC has to impact the direction of the show is the nominations, and they are using it! The "evaluations" and the "general development" are the pretexts, supported by the "explanations" to the nominees; or, the latest invention, the broadcasts of the "discussions" of the professors. That all is very thin indeed. But it is also necessary, the LBC produces the show (by investing lot of money) and has to protect the business interests. That is reasonable and ultimately OK. What is not right, is that they have become too greedy and to make money are taking children in the show, or are expecting from students to bring out their privacy and are making of it a soap opera.

Who will win? There are four outstanding candidates. It is reasonable to expect neither Muhammed nor Saad can get enough votes for the top; there are more voters in Khaleej or Egypt. It should not bother us: if they are good for the wider audience their career will start after the StarAc.

PS:
The personal view: best gal- Shahinaz, best guy - Muhammad.

OMG this prime was really boring. And Mirhan was nt good becasue she was not singing LIVE but playback. She was dancing all the time. It is obvious that this star academy is all fake. it was predective that zaher was friend of the week and that saad was top 1.I'm glad that asma is back because if she's the one who leaved tonight, then this staracademy is not about the voice. And that is the important factor in this show. What I don't understand is that asma always get singing of silly songs in stand of tarab.

Nancy Ajram is mentioned in the yesterday's thread, that she won a competition when she was 16 ("Asma's age is not a big deal"), by somebody who did not think a lot. Diana Haddad won a competition at the same age, and probably somebody else made it too. In India there is a tradition of the girl singing and competitions are held for girls from the age 12 - those of 19 (and up) are considered too old. The singing competitions are nothing new in Lebanon. Nancy Ajram was coming with parents by bus to the TV studio, and after the night concert she was going back home. For a few Saturdays the concerts were held for the eliminations, semi-final and the final, in front of the judges and the studio (or the concert hall on other occasions) audience. Three top ranking winners would get some prize and a chance to record a song.

These competitions have nothing to the with the StarAc format. The StarAc has nothing to do with the competition - it is a "reality show!"

Abdulaziz, again... I could not agree more! You've made a study out of it :-)!
The prime wasn't that good, but ok! I'm glad Dia and Nader sung in Arabic, in my personal view, it wasn't that bad, but they could do much better. Asma was, not good, not good at all! Infact I think she was the worst out of the three nominees: she was afraid, her voice shook and didn't convince her audience at all-->nominee next week, followed by a return to Morocco! And have you seen how Adnan kissed her when she got back?! :-o 3eib wallah!
Amal B: a good dancer with charisma, an ok voice... BUT, I didn't like it when she was dancing on Ilham's song! That was just too much.
Mostafa: Did not impress me at all, I don't think his voice is one of the best at all!
Saad: As usual, GREAT!
The rest did well, Khaled was actually quite good this time!
Maybe later some more comment...

Peace and Love x

this prime was rubbish. Actually come to think of it, star academy this year really blows....hard.
Last year you had the ambition of Kamma7 with his song writing and originality, you had the charisma of Carlo who was the best male singer, who sang ARABIC AND ENGLISH AND FRENCH without trouble, you had Marwa, one of the prettiest voices in the Academy who performed well on stage with confidence and joy, and of course you had Miss Shatha, who not only was the best voice in the academy but the most talented. She was used for most of the songs in the primes due to her confidence, technique, stage presence and incredible voice, as well as singing in ARABIC, FRENCH, ENGLISH, SPANISH AND ITALIAN!
These students are star material. This year I am very disappointed. Most of the students forget the words in the songs, come into the song at the wrong time, look nervous or have no presence at all.
I will say this, the only students who show some kind of "talent" this year are Shahinaz, Saad and Abdullah. As for the rest, they are not worth it.
Im pretty sure this will be the last star academy.

Saad congratulation you deserve to be the winner for top 5. I am so happy for you. You have such a great voice, looks, and everything a STAR need to have. I am 100% sure you will be the Star Academy Winner this year. Keep up the good work. Congratulation to all top 5 winners you all deserve it.

Diaa and Nadir you were the best this prime. Great voice both of you and today you showed the world that you could sing in Arabic.
Diaa and Asmaa we are so proud of you. The people that care and can see the potential love you all around the world. Please keep up your good work.
Diaa and Saad are the best friend we ever seen in Star Academy so far. Don’t worry about what people say. People are so jealous everywhere. Diaa and Saad remember this is how life is, not everybody will like you or agree with you.

Asmaa, Asmaa, and Asmaa we are so happy for you. You deserve to be there you have a great voice. Now this is your chance to show Madam Merry how good you are. It doesn’t matter the age. Even Rami Ayach said today that he started when he was 15 years old even younger than Asmaa. If you are talented and God give you the voice like Asmaa you will be a Star whether here in the Academy or after the Academy like Mohamad Chereif. I am so proud of you Asmaa. I cried when you cried you are such a loving and sensitive person. We love you. Being 16 is not an easy age to be. Especially with the preacher that you guys are in. Congratulation you deserve to be there.

Congratulation to Amal M I knew that you will stay also. I was 100% sure that this week is Iman’s week. Best of luck to you Iman. You will be a great dancer. This is your chance in fame go and pursue your dream. We will miss your laugh and dance. I am carious to see how is the academy on Saturday with out you. Good luck Iman.

Go Asmaa and Amal you deserve this chance. Keep up your good work. We love you both. Thank you so much to all Asmaa’s fans. Everybody was so happy for her especially Saad and Adnan. I can’ t emagine the academy without Asmaa.

Go Asmaa and Diaa you are the best.
Go ya catcoutat El Academia.
Go Asmaa & Diaa Morocco is with you tell the end.
Morocco is so proud of you.
Good luck to all the students we love you all soooooooo much.

Did any body notice the fool tableaux they gave for mostafa tonight on the song of wa2el kfoury "Behbak Ana Kteer" he missed the notes & the music rythem his voice tend out to be so weak & even if he had a good sound material as they are trying to convince us from the first day of the show on how gr8 he is, how cute he is, his adorable smile & all of this shiz , it is although too early & very stubid to gave him such a hard song.

Actually i'm startin' 2 doubt is he a relative to any one of tha academy staff due o the major support he gains.

Nader is gr8 in english & french, but he gotta a lot of work to do on singin' in arabic , dia is a fighter , mirihan is the best egyption girl ever in starac, amal b & sa3d is already a star, zaher &3dnan cute but with weak potentials, he same as mostafa, abduallah i bet on him to be the star of this year starac5.

The prime was a little bit different this time ramy was nice, milk & huny was somthing new & not bad, & ilham el madfa3i had his own scent in the music he present he rocks.
altough we r seeking for new stars to appear on the primes & more egyption stars pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease thnx:)

Prime wasn't all that. The only person who kind of stood out was Amal B. She deserves to be in the final along with saad/mohamad/ abdallah/nader.
Mustafa, i love him, but his singing isnt great....good luck 2 him still.
Who the hell are MILK & HONEY???? they made me cringe from disgust! lol. theyr aweful, their songs r boring n their voices r a disaster. they ruined the show.

worst prime ever...How I miss Shada & her presence & lovely voice
Abdelaziz phylosophy makes sense, however, the best & only voice this year is Saad, then Abdallah, then Chahinaz , then Mohammad
this prime both Moha & Chahinaz were terrible.Moha sang ok at the last prime tho
It seems that this year Elyssar got her wish ,...they have more dancers than singers. She is delighted with her angels, but I'm bored, because on this starac, I look for the good voices in Arabic. If I wanted to hear French or English, I would go to starac France
Alos, on starac 3, they made the finalists 3 instead of 4 to eliminate Shayma who has the best voice of all.But she would have been a threat to Joseph winning
starac 4 finalists were fair..Shada was the only one who could eliminate Sally
anyway, all those monkeys will be gone soon
the last 8 would be: Saad, Moha, abdallah, Chahinaz,Nader, Diia,Amel & mustapha or Mirhan

Mustapha: sorry you are sweet heart, but you can not sing.
Khaled: No comment.

Rami Ayach: is he fat like that all the time?
Those two girls that honey some thing, they look like just get from a bar or.....
Amal.B: please can some body teach her how to dance: she has one dance and she convert it between "Sharki" & "Garbi".
Mirhan: you are cute & sexy but that is about it and Rola is selling your body pretty well.
Amal.M: you don't have a voice...

OMG I'm like soo happy that Asma got the votes, I was like on the edge of my seat lol!! I love that girl,,, she was crying,,, I'm so glad that she stayed!!
And Amel M. looked absolutely BREATH-TAKING, BEAUTIFUL, AND GORGEOUS! wow, her hair was amazing. I'm soo glad that she stayed. I was just a little scared when the first five votes went to Iman. She had her chance and now its time for her to get out.
I loved this prime soo much, it was awesome! But no offence to all you Moustafa lovers out there, I like him and all, but with Bhibak ana Ktir,, I didn't like that one bit. He sang early, meaning that he started singing before it was the right music. He was too fast towards the end, therefore had to wait a while for the music to catch up. I love that song and how Wael sings it, but not Moustafa... but he's good,, just one mistake doesn't hurt.
Mirhan was great, I thought they would actually bring her dad, after the reportage about the fathers.
Oh and I loved how Nader and Dia sang the duetto "Youm wara Youm".... Nader was soo good, and Dia was really good as well (she tried her best). Take into account that Dia doesn't know how to speak a lot of Arabic. Overall it was great. The prime was my favorite, but what was up with MIlk and Honey,,, Dia and Nader dazzled them, Milk and Honey's voices were barely heard from what Nader and Dia had to offer.
Great Prime,, and go Saad, and Nader and Dia

Abdulaziz
i enjoyed your short story i just have one correction
in the third and fourth season there was 19 contestants
in both seasons there was only ONE time when two students left in both primes
Then why did both seasons have a different number of finalists in the last prime??..dont forget in the third season the jordanian i think hes name Walid left by himself thats whey

And i am just still shocked and i cant understand why Asma has so many fans its really starting to annoy mee, shes horribleeeee

and just one more thing if u guys care, when the percentages were coming up didnt it look weird, it didnt come up slowly like it usually does it came up quickly
someone was probably behind there (rola) changing the votes when they saw asma crying, idk it just seemed weird to me

Rika I agree with every WORD you saiiid!!
this prime was amazing i LOVE Rami Ayach
bas toooooooooo much Saad..why was there ANOTHER Barja reportage??? that was last prime...we WATCHED IT...move on...that bored me no offence..
milk & honey-no comment..but nader was good singing their didi song
asmaa-out inshalla next week
(nomination prediction: Asmaa, Khaled, Adnan)
Abdulaziz-WOW...you turned it into math & it makes perfect sense...& you remember percentages...wow

Mirhan is good..everyone sings playback..esp if she has to dance a lot..stop bashing her!& she does have a voice but the diff between her & Asmaa for example is that she has charisma on stage

Nader does need to work on his arabic..BUT he was good in yom wara yom..better than Diaa i thought

i dont agree wid abdul aziz coz he said that best singer are always in final but i think it is wrong .......................
coz in last season AYOOB ZADJALI was the best of all he has sung in many languages he was a god composer and a good performer ayoob had anything that a performer should have but look in finals was marwa carlo and mohammed marwa and mohammed are good for nothing they only sing in arabic yes i think shada was the only person who deserved to b in final carlo also but ayoob deserved to win coz he was the best candidate and he reprsent oman a big country n still dint get any votes so i think there is something wrong in votings ok and i still dont beleive that kuwait won oman.and last week ksa won egypt but last year egypt won ksa how? there is wrong wrong wrong...... and ahmad was not such a bad singer m.ammah and ahmad were best friend and they both are really good singers but some peoples cant stand ahmad coz of ammah many people saya that ahmad will not b kammah but he is better than him he can dance he can sing in english but............. hard luck

the only best voices in starc5 are Sa3d and Mohammad while all the rest has no voices at all ...the winner most be between those two

the girls are not good at all this year

Mostafa and Nader has a look but not the voice..alittile bit Nadwer is better than Mustafa bcoz of singing in French and English

Zaher , Asmma and Adnan are disgusting and has very weak and limited voices ..they must leave so soon

I think that this is the worst season in all starc history then followe by starc3 and 2

the best starc is starc1 then starc4(all candidates are great except Sally was so bad as the same as this year candidates)

i liked the prime b/c
saad- no 1
iman - out
amal - back
too bad they did not give bader more air time.

Abdulaziz could you sum up your points in short, i wanna know what you are saying but , tooooooo long dude. i am the person who mentioned nancy, it is just because you where talking about the breaching of child labour law by lbc when they hire asma. I still don’t see any fault in lbc regarding her and think it is upto her parents to decided whether she could join starac or not.

Mera, what do u mean there was too much saad? He sang two songs - not the whole song , just few lines, he did not even sang on his own. may be it is b/c he has got such great stage presence that you thought you saw too much of him.

Sally – kahlid did not cry when ahemd leave. He was bawling yesterday for imen.

WOOOO abdul aziz.. are u like doing ur phds on star academy. how did u notice that thing when they were telling the nominees.. u either love the show or u got some freee time there....
i like how u make ur point of view seem only logical but there are alot of things not to be agreed with, however i dont have the time to sit and contradict ur points cuz they're bluntly tooooooo many :)
but keep the research going... its fun to read :)

Prime was not exciting this time. I usually like Mustafa but I must admit he was way off tune in this song. I think he might be nominated if he doesnt do a really good eval. Mirhan did a good showgirl performance but I personally think that was disgusting performance for her to have to do. Nader was impressive in arabic . . cant say the same for Dia . . she seemed really nervous. Congrats to Saad for top 1 he deseves it. Amal B an Mohamed were so cue together. And best of all go Mohamed u were great as always. and congrats for top2!!!

* * * I think Iman is the best (happier) loser I ever saw on Star Academy show . . she was running all over the place . . hugging them all . . gave a big hug to Gabi (I love Gabi too).
Good Luck Iman in Dancing World (even your singing is much better than Milk & Honey) & keep your BIG smile : )

I'm glad that Asma & Amal M. back for a second chance . . they deserve it.

Peace & all Good . .

This Prime had a few good moments but was much less exciting than the previous ones. Overall the staging, direction and choregraphies were a flop and didn't help the candidats to focuss on their songs and give their best as they should. Some of them were put in totally awkard scenes that totally handicaped them. Mustapha, for example, was perched on that ridiculous ladder and had to worry about his steps and then about dancing with several of the dancers. The Duets Diae/Nader and Amal B/Mohammed would have sounded much better if their performances hadn't been drowned in that ridiculous tableau straight out of the 60s. The songs they sang have nothing to do with that era. I whish they had set them on stage without too much fuss and let them interpret the songs the way they felt them. In fact I thought they had more vibes during their rehearals than in that constraining decor. Another thing that was weired to me during this prime is that the guest singers clearly lacked enthusiasm ande seemed out of sync with the candidats. They didn't appear like professionals who were there to support the candidats. I truly didn't understand their attitude nor their lac of interaction with the real candidats of with the public at all.
I felt sorry for the candidats because they deserve a little more support from the academy as well as from the guest artists, otherwise why bring them?
Congratulations to Saad and to the people of Baaja! He is a sweet heart and he has a great voice. He deserves to be Top 1. Congratulation to Zaher. He has a very nice personality and I am glad he was chosen as friend of the week.
Good luck to all the other candidats! You work very hard and you deserve to get all the support you can get to give your maximum. I hope your work is better featured in the next primes:). Greetings from Morocco!

WOW mirhan was so amazing and i loved mustafa and im so glad iman is out happy for asma and amal.. mustafa and mirhan are so cute together but the age sucks anyways it was a not so great prime and saad was o great great job top 1, nader and diaa were also very good diaa was pretty good for her first arabic song

1) KHALED NEEDS TO GO.
2) if shahinaz wants to stay...she needs to be less annoying and start loosing up.
3) Mohammed has to stop thinking that he is a teacher and explaining to everyone what they should do or not. He is annoying, his personality is really not good. Yea he has a voice...thats not the only thing that will get him to the finals.
4) Saad- i really like him...but come on...too much saad in the last too primes. It is unfair.
and has anyone realized that they used to love moustapha (lbc) and now when they realized saad was better...they are leaning to him and not moustapha.
5) Asmaa- i feel sorry for her...bes like if she doesnt WAKE UP than shes screwed.
6) Adnan ....needs to leave NOW. he is phsyco.
7) Zaher needs to WAKE UP...i really really like him bes his voice is not that strong..and he needs to work harder...and he needs to get over this amal thing because she doesnt like him that way...and its just stupid.
8) Abdullah- i predict he will win this year.
He has the voice, in both english and arabic...a great smile, nice presence...good acting...sooo sweet! great personality...
9) Nader- he did well i think with arabic...and really well with that random band...milk and honey?wtf? neways...yeah except he has to stop howling...but he has great charisma...
10) dia- soo well! i contradict with many of u..i think she actually did really well with the arabic song...both of them just need more practice. Her voice is the best out of all the girls, so extremely powerful.
11) Amal B- i used to love her, now shes sinking...but shes doin okay....she needs to work harderr
12) Amal M- she needs to lighten up on stage...and work harder..cause shes pretty and she has it.
13) Mirhan- some odd reason she bugs me...i thought she did well in the haifa song..but not at the same time...like why would LBC do that to her..i dont think it was the best..SHE NEEDS TO GET AWAY FROM MOUSTAFA....omg hes like 7 years younger than her...she needs to wake up.
14) Badr- i give him 2 weeks max. I actually didnt know he was still in the academy
15) Moustafa- he needs to work harder...i feel bad...they shouldnt have picked such a hard and amazing song for him...that kinda ruined it for me....but he is soo cute...and LEAVE MIRHAN....but dont do that stupid eyebrow thing thats sooooo UGLY....

So basically....i like some of them...and i think they will make it if they work hard....and all of them have some kindof potential..they have to stop thinking about love stories which are blehhh and annoying. and i think personally...
my fav:
dia (soo beautiful, prettiest out of them all), Zaher, Abdullah, nader, saad and amal B

However, best staracademy definetly
STARACADEMY 3.
i miss it a lot. they had the best students, and voices, and they were soo great as a group.

there is NOTHING between Mirhan and Mustafa.. I don't know why ppl persist on that!!!
I can totally relate to the two of them.. coz I have a best friend.. and most of the time ppl think we're "together" and we're NOT..
it is just amazing to be comfortable around someone and be all cozy and cuddly with them without the whole in love thing!

I guess those who never had a person from the opposite gender as a bestfriend *or at least a really close friend*.. won't really get it.. and I totally understand.. but plz give'em a break.

P.S.
sorry I might sound a little worked up.. but everytime someone brings this up.. I remember all the rumors went around about me =D.. though am pretty happy with my bestfriend.. and will never give him up for the world.. and I hope Mustafa and Mirhan do just the same.. :kisses and hugs:

Maghrebi from Belgium:

You are right, Asma was scared and that affected her singing. When you are under the stress, or have a stage fright, your throat becomes tense, it contracts, becomes tight, you get off the key and then it all goes from bad to worse.

--------------------------------------------
LebaneseSara:

Nobody will kill the goose that lays golden eggs! The rumors about the last StarAc every year are the LBC fabrication. Next year, the StarAc may degenerate into a soap opera, or they will reinvent the format. As for the Shada-Marwa duets - I am on your side; we will never again see anything like it!

--------------------------------------------
sam:

We basically agree who are the best singers. Also, I could not agree more with you about Shayma in the third season. But, that is how the LBC show works: whenever there is a chance for a student where their market is strong they will push him through. Naturally their prime market is Lebanon and the neighboring countries, so they helped Joseph to win the final. As I said above, I would not like to speculate, but, could you figure out who would benefit from Shada's elimination (and with Sally and Qamah in the final)? I am sure you can ...

--------------------------------------------
sarsora egy:

As you say, the prime was not great and there was very little to talk about it, so I made a general comment.

--------------------------------------------
zeio:
marwa:

"Get a life" - do you mean by that watch a lot of TV ? Or, hang around in a group in a mall for hours? Sorry, that is not my cup of tea.

--------------------------------------------
kj:

The public votes are authentic - always! I also said that both seasons 3 & 4 had 19 candidates. Thanks for reminding me about Walid. The number of finalist in the season 3 was three because only that way Joseph could win.

--------------------------------------------
mera:

I remember these details because I used to like the StarAc quite a lot! Somehow, that is slowly evaporating ....

--------------------------------------------
haifa:

Ayub was extremely good, but the better singers were Shada and Marwa; Qamah had to be in the final as a complete musician, and Carlo - because the LBC is always supporting one Lebanese, if he/she is any good. So, there was just not enough room for Ayub. The other matter is that he is of the Indian origin and for the overall show ratings - where the LBC has market interests - the better candidates were some other. I was surprised myself that he was to go so early.

--------------------------------------------
eve:

I am sorry, you do not see that hiring a minor for the reality show is an offense. Even the Moroccan government does not approve it, and they have better things to do than bother about the small adventures of their citizens. You could read the previous week prime comment by "Maghrebi from Belgium." You are right it is up to the parents, but parents too can make mistakes. Judging by what Asma hints at as regarding her parents, I cannot feel otherwise but be very, very sorry for her.
Forgive me, I cannot sum up my points again as I do not spend much time on this blog.

--------------------------------------------
crazychic:

I am not doing any "research" on the StarAc. You are right in guessing that I like it very much; yet, my interest is slowly ebbing away, vanishing, and this season may be my good -by to this show that is degenerating into something else ...

--------------------------------------------

to all blogers on the website:

with respect, the "other chance" is just a polite lie. The student who starts sinking is on the way out; if lucky (like Sally last year), can last longer, but cannot avoid further nominations.

omg abdulaziz i really wanna know how old r u cuz like woow !i think that most gurlzz watch starac this year because of the hott guyzz like mostafa and nader adn zaher and saad... wat do you think ???? and do u think it is reasonable for the LBC to let osama ra7bani-a very entertaining part of the show- to just go away tha simply ????'n' do u think amel. M has a voice ???

4 March, 10:44PM

rachael:

As a college senior I was watching the first StarAc season, and I was spellbound: after years of the Anglo-Saxon junk it was like coming back home ... You are right about the cute guys this year. That is all right; but, those who have interest in music are going to be on a very severe diet, not only this year, but from now on. Do not ask about somebodies voice: that is a difficult question because it implies another question about somebodies potential of becoming a singer. Imagine you are on a daily commute to work and have a tape of Amal-M; if you forget about her looks and the stage performance, what is not difficult if you are on the freeway in the morning traffic, do you think you could listen to her singing all the way to work and back home as well? I must confess I could not. This is a basic test. If she is good on the stage and cannot sing well she cannot become a singer and would be better for her to do something else. Her sketch with Nader (last week evaluation) was very good, even excellent. There are some people who say if you are good on stage than you could get along with a lesser ability to sing; the example could be Haifa. Nevertheless, Haifa has that bare minimum and people can listen to her on the radio as well. (I am not saying I'm Haifa's fan.) Are all your questions answered to?

Saalam to you.

knew I missed something! My guess about Osama Rahbani is that when he was free to chose this year and saw the level of students he decided it was more worthwile his time to spend it on working on his new play. We all miss him a lot.
