When you want to bring out the best of your voice, you gotta choose the right song to sing ... and if you don't, then you've sentenced yourself to death! That's what American Idol is about. If the contestants don't sing the right song for their voice, then they get voted off and lose a chance of a life-time!
Last night, the Top 10 girls of American Idol 2008 did their best to bring out the best of their voices as they performed classic 70's songs.

The first girl to perform was Carly Smithson. She sang 'Crazy On You' and she did well, although she started off on the wrong pitch! Her performance was better than last weeks.
The second girl to go was Syesha Mercado. She sang 'Me and Mrs. Jones' and she turned it into Me and Mr. Jones ... The judges thought she didn't give it her all and that she could have done much better.
The third girl to sing was Brooke White. She sang 'You’re So Vain' and she was perfect!
The song was just right for her voice and she performed the song well. The judges loved it and even Simon said: "Brooke, I absolutely loved it."

The fourth girl to sing was Ramiele Malubay. She chose to sing 'Don’t Leave Me This Way' and this choice didn't bring out her best! She could have chosen a better song that suited her voice more.
The fifth girl to go was Kristy Lee Cook. She sang 'You’re No Good' and she did show a lot of improvement since last week.
The sixth girl to sing was Amanda Overmyer. She sang 'Carry on My Wayward Son' ... she started off good, but towards the end she screwed up! Sorry Amanda! Even Simon said: "I couldn’t wait for it to finish."

The seventh girl to go was Alaina Whitaker. she chose to go for 'Hopelessly Devoted To You' and she obviously chose the wrong song to sing! It wasn't a good choice that fitted her voice and she had difficulty in performing it! Remember, the key is choosing the right song for your voice!
The eighth girl to sing was Alexandrea Lushington. She sang 'If You Leave Me Now' and that also wasn't the right choice for her voice! She performed well, but that wasn't impressive enough!
The ninth girl to sing was Kady Malloy. She sang 'Magic Man' and she didn't do well at all! It was a bad performance!
The last girl to perform was Asia’h Epperson. She chose to sing 'All By Myself' and she couldn't pull it off! This is a Diva song and it was too strong for her.

So, which two girls will back their bags and leave tonight? I can't choose ... at least 5 girls are in the danger zone of being let go! As for Kristy Lee Cook and Brooke White, those two are definitely safe because they were the best!
