Then comes Diaa to share the stage with her, they do her other famous song, Saviour.
We are now transported to New York and are staring at the Statue of Liberty! Yes! An American themed tableau.
Zaher starts performing Liza Minelli's famous song, New York New York.
Abdallah picks up where Zaher left ... honestly, Abdallah's voice is great!
Academy's Angels are back! This time not in black leather, but in glittery short dresses!
They sang Haifa Wehbe's song, 'Makhadtesh Bali'.
Jawad is back, with Mohammad and Asma. They performed his famous song, 'Yjilak Yom'.
As for Friend of the week ... this time it's Nader!
What does he get? A one-hour plane ride over Beirut.

Tonight we meet Academy’s Rappers! Adnan, Zaher and Mostafa! They’re sure going to compete with Academy’s Angels!
They arrive to the stage in a classic car and they sing Ragheb Alamah’s ‘Al Hob El Kebir’.
It’s now very close to the end of the night and announcing the voting results.
Jawad Al Ali ends the prime with one of his songs. I have to say, he’s wearing a beautiful Dishdasheh, with Arabic letters embroidered with golden threads! Wow!
As for the voting results ... the audience chose to bring back Bader with 35.95 %
As for Ahmad and Khaled ... their friends chose to bring back Khaled .

I was really surprised that ahmed didn't get the majority votes. I remember last year the Egyptians were voting like crazy. I was also shocked when khaled was chosen over ahmed. I knew for sure Amal B and the other Gulfites candidates were going to pick him. I didn't expect Zaher, Saad and Iman to do so...interesting...

Bravo la Mohammad wa Abdullah! They were the best in the prime. All les tableaux were beautiful and professionally executed. Overall a very nice prime indeed!
I am beginning to watch these primes only because of the few students: Shahinaz, Saad, Mohamed, Abdullah, and Mirhan. They are reliable, always perform at some acceptable level, and are not going to turn me off like almost all other students are able to. Apparently they are steadily sailing to the finals. Others, always varying ...
This prime Asma was good. When I watch her I have to try hard to forget all about the Yawmiyat-s, as I am crazy enough to watch them; otherwise, whenever I see her there is an urge to blame the LBC for bringing a child to the show, and a wondering how come there is no one in Lebanon to bring up the liability charges against the LBC for using the child labor, as the fact is that Asma (a minor!), like others, is under the work contract, and the LBC is profiting from her taking part in the show.
Also, I do not understand all that clamoring on this forum about Asma's performance - on the stage, which has nothing to do with what you watch in the dailies, what you should try to forget during the primes; otherwise you are mixing oranges and apples (to put it mildly)! - or Asma's voice, which is still in the natural development! If you are not able to accept her in the show for any personal reason, and are enjoying and find it perfectly normal to throw mud at a child and disregard that there is a pimp behind her, the LBC, then, to say the least, how come you do not say a word against Mustafa - who often behaves as a child himself !? Do you remember the first week when they were fighting for a few little chocolates; Mustafa in particular, and had to take off his T-shirt to put in (or hide?) as much as he could, and was later enjoying the booty as if he had never seen a choc in his life!? The impression of watching a wrong program, a scene in some shelter for retarded, not the StarAc, was overwhelming. It is absurd, the same thing was repeated this week again! Am I dreaming? Is that still the good old StarAc?? ...
I am going to drop the dailies from my schedule, they've become pure waist of time: the empty "Perfect Bride" chating and the chocolate-fights, and no students in practice, no rehearsing anymore ... Where is the StarAc heading? Have they exhausted all ideas of how to make a grand TV show that offers quality and is cashing in for the offered?
The story of Khaled is becoming very amusing! I predicted that Khaled will be back and am quite pleased it happened. Here is why. As for his voice he is a "musical zero;" as for his character, we just see a guy who is in these special circumstances only trying to survive - like all the others! Most of these students are using some strategies as they are not fools and can compare themselves and see few of them are much better and have the voice and talent. Their aim is to get as close to the final as possible, the same way as Sally did it last year. Who is to blame - if anyone - that Khaled is in the show? Of course, the LBC, they hired him. So all that "rage" that the "professors" show against Khaled is misplaced and a total hypocrisy and just acting (Gabi was particularly good in his act)! Why they just not admit the pool of talents this year was so shallow and because they could not find anyone better they had to take even Khaled!? So he is not the only one who "should feel lucky that he is in the StarAc" but the LBC should feel the same. It's another matter if they realize now they made a mistake; and along that line Mme Mary should not say just to Khaled "be a sport" but should allow the guy to say the same to them back! One modest and resilient guy against the LBC establishment and their way of persuading by power. I am beginning to respect him. What follows is Mme Rolla asking students next week to vote against Khaled otherwise who does not do it might be in trouble (!)
After the "singing zeros, " the first bunch to go, the next one is the "singing pretenders." Would it be possible in the French StarAc to have a group who sings only in English, week after week? It is unthinkable! So, get ready for the next group leaving; we know who they are.

Hey i'm so surrprised from zaher altiude & how he chose khaled over ahmad, it is so werid he said that khaled is fake &that he don't like him personally, but i guess its a part from his smart strategi to eliminate his rivals(so mean) anyway hard luck 4 ahmad he wasn't that good plus it was clear that he is not prefered by the teachers or even madam rolla. The show is getting kinda ridiculous and i thought the haifa wehbi song by the 'academy angels' was horrible... are they trying to prostitute them... it was really disgusting instead of giving them nice tableaus and dance moves to do, they are making them pretend to be like haifa wehbi shi mabisharef and especially that they kept focusing on their thighs and legs during the entire song.. that kinda put me off to be honnest... and what did iman do exactly i missed the end of the show how did she react???

That is so fucked up. Khaled got two chances already. It's not fair that Ahmad left. He deserved a second chance. The students keep voting for khaled so that they can get rid of any competition. People are so bitter over Zaher voting for Khaled, but really its his choice. Neither Khaled nor Ahmad deserve to be there, as they both have terrible voices. Ahmad would have probably been sent packing sooner rather than later anyway.
I loved Nader during "Lollipop". His vocals were very well done. And Amal B, when she was singing with Angunn was AWESOME. I was actually amazed at how good she sounded.
Mohamed also did very well. He does cause trouble in the house, but his voice tonight was top notch.
Loved the prime today, and I hope to see one just as good next week!

Well, Ahmed left the academy and since Egyptians aren't supporting their students it will happen to Shahinaz and Merihan too. So, it won't be surprising if Shahinaz leaves the academy becuase of Khaled. Ahmed wasn't one of the bests but when it comes to compare him with Khaled, he's much more better . Even Wadi3 said that Khaled has the weakest voice between the students.
About Imen's reaction, she's free to choose everyone she prefers but she can do it in a decent way. I couldn't beleive when Zaher voted to Khaled, she was clapping for Zaher. By the way, Khaled's return was the worst thing for Imen. Because she will be nominated with him this week and in the competition with Khaled, She'll be the looser.
And What is going on this year? Merihan got some color pencils as friend of the week but Saad got a prime which was almost dedicated to him. They have to be more fair.

Randy, last night after they got back home, saad was explainin to shahinaze something but i couldn’t catch what he is saying as my Arabic is not so good and he was taking fast.... so anybody who heard what was it abt pls share.,
shahinaze was crying like crazy she was totally inconsolable. I think she blames herself some how, mirhan, mustepha, diaa, asma were also crying the only happy people i saw were mohammed and iman. ... all students were really sweet in trying to make shahinaze and mirhan feel better especially the two amels, i like the amal tunis she is really decent and compassionate. After all the crying and the window hitting to say good bye, the academy went wild during dinner with a row over who is better the angels or the brothers...then they were singing... almost all of them were together except the khalija’s.......

Would you bother to read my message again carefully? I never told why Zaher voted for Khaled because actually it's completely up to him. I criticized Imen's reaction when Zaher chose Khaled because she was clapping and it's not a respectable behaviour even she hates Ahmed. After all they're colleagues and they have spent one month together as a family. I mean, even if Zaher chose Ahmed, this behavious would not be acceptable.

sorry, but you did not get my point. I just wanted to address the constant stream of the negative criticism against Asma and Khaled, to point out that Asma is too young and should not be in the show, that Khaled has a substandard singing ability and should not be in the show, that the one who is to blame is those who gave to these students contracts, the LBC. The corporate greed is the one to do with the "line crossing" not those who make note of that, like me in this case.
The students around Khaled like him; we see him through the TV, the students see him in real. If they like him then I must conclude there are no character issues and "he is OK." The other thing is the panel of "professors" that "explains" to each nominee the reasons for the action. That is all just plain baloney! The LBC has the ranking order from the beginning and the rest is just a play; you can always find flaws in anyone's singing and these profs have some knowledge needed to cook up explanations in all situations. Example: Shada had to pass through the same torture last year, but the reason for her nomination was something very specific: because of the voting system she was the only student left in position to kick out Sally (who was in the queue-out from the 4th prime and lucky that she is from Egypt and had alliance with right group of students).
All these "professors" are camera conscious and are acting at all times; besides, they are not fighting for their survival in the show and can feel at ease. On the other hand, students often forget about cameras, what is normal if you are 24/7 "under watch." The LBC especially likes very young students as they become unaware of the cameras faster and are also easier for the brainwashing along the time of the show. Remember, this has become the "reality show"!
Gabi, in particular, is an ugly person, but very good at his job. He has managed many times to make students weep, either because he is insensitive or it was good for the dramatic effects in the show, and, hence, good for the show ratings (I am not talking about the acting exercises!). True, whenever he had information about the crying student he would rush to correct the situation. For instance, he managed to make cry even Tina (last year), one of the most emotionally stable girls at the show in all seasons, and then he rushed "to her assistance."
So what was wrong with Khaled when this Gabi gave him the "raging bull" piece of advice? Khaled just smiled back and that made Gabi loose his temper a bit but was back on his feet very quickly. I imagined that was the first time I've seen Gabi not acting and it was great! One unwitting (but proud) student who could provoke this hardcore fake, it was a satisfaction of some very modest justice for all those hart-broken students in the former seasons.
Elissar is not much better than Gabi. She is now playing the role of Oussama Rahbany and after the 3rd prime she had a meeting with all students. When Khaled made some comment, very nicely, she turned her head away from him and nervously said "What is this guy talking?!" - in English. Was not that rude?
The other thing is why Khaled should be responsible if he has stayed. He is not; others are using him to make their stay in the StarAc longer. Students almost never vote for the "quality" but for the nationality, for a friend, or for what is good for a friend. In this prime, for instance, Mohammad voted for Khaled because it is good for his friend Zaher, who is in the queue out and would have a problem if Ahmad stayed, but not with Khaled.
Now you may understand that I am expressing my opinion really about the corporate greed that is going to ruin the show (that I used to like so much, as well as others; and I know some people who are not watching it anymore).
The latest LBC idea to raise the ratings (and profits) is to have students talk about their lives, which is very innocently called the "meetings of profs with students." They are all under the contract and what is their choice? Who is going to be courageous and say "no" to Rola Saad and be soon out (like Amal last year)? That they have stooped so low and are eliciting details from the private and intimate lives of these students is - disgusting!! To this you can express any criticism you like, but, there will be no further response from me.

with respect, you are right that Saad will be in the final, as the LBC is always pushing a Lebanese candidate to the end, if they are any good; but, he cannot win - because of the voting system. The LBC can manipulate the nominations, but, because of the wireless technology the public voting goes over the foreign companies, not Lebanese, and they can detect easily any frauds, so the results are genuine, and I believe that part of the voting does not depend on the LBC. They can pressure students through Rola Saad, but the last three primes students do not vote.
Because of this, the outcome of the final can be predicted just by looking back and relying on what happened in the past seasons. If we say the most likely finalists are Mohammad, Saad, Abdulah and Shahinaz, as all indications are that the LBC is grooming them more than others, then, you can see that Saad could finish only as the 4th, because all Khaleejies will vote for Abdullah, all Egypt and Maghreb will vote for Shahinaz, and in what French call Levant all except Lebanese will vote for Muhammad. Of course some Khaleejies will vote for Muhammad too.
Again, if these four are finalists, it will be the question of how much the Khaleeji votes go to Muhammad: if just a little, than Abdullah might win; if just a little too much, then Shahinaz is the winner. If Egyptians vote like in the past, in large numbers, then Shahinas is winning regardless of what Khaleejis do. Sorry, you are from Saudiya ... Therefore, Abdullah or Shahinaz.
Well, these little thoughts about the final are not that important; they just came naturally and without any "invitation" after watching the StarAc these few years. What is much more important are the good performances, like these that Jawad Ali gave us in this prime.
